Warning: Chainfire3D may cause your phone to not boot, be sure to do a nandroid backup beforehand!
I installed Chainfire3D to do some testing - and found that it reduces lag on Minecraft PE by a ton. Before I could only play without lag on the lowest graphics setting(out of three). Now I can play without lag on the highest.
Once you download that, unzip it with a utility like Andro Zip. It doesn't matter where on your SDCARD it is, and only unzip the original RAR, not the separate files.
Then go to the chainfire3d app, click "Default OpenGL settings", and then click "Use plugin". Change it to nvidia.
Feel free to experiment!
Also, I tested to see if this would allow non-compatible phones to work, it won't.

What phone are you using, or is it a tablet? Tegra 2 or single core?
I dont suffer from lag on my Tab but on my DX with fancy turned on it does hesitate a bit.
Just remember please. To those who have rooted devices. Chances are you have a custom rom too which already includes some of the tweaks for benchmarking. If you dont, check XDA for those builds. =) I know on my Streak 7 I get 2000-3000 on the benchmarking. =)

Custom roms on the Motorola Triumph are still under heavy development - have a lot of bugs.

Feel free to give it a go!(it's in the market)

Once you install it and install the drivers, you'll need the plugins.

Motorola Triumph, single core 1ghz processor.
Before I could only play with the lowest settings, now I can play flawlessly with fancy on.
It works flawlessy, without this app.
Not on my Droid Incredible though. So I think I'll get this on it. Thanks!
