Pick axe efficency enchantment being used on anything other than ore is still the same as using your hand. Or is this now a permanent thing? Why not make survival just like the "adventure" mode. A pickaxe used on dirt? unheard of... you need to call the enchantments adventure mode enchantments.
I worked for a tax software company for 10 years and the QA had a motto. If you can't reproduce the steps exactly, then the "bug" doesn't exist.
lol, the problem with this is that not all bugs are able to be reproduced using steps and yes they do exist. Or they relabled them as "features" (inside gag) how about QA using the term pebkac... ugh. I don't miss those days.
How does someone reproduce lag? For many it didn't exist prior to the Dec update and now, it is there. So, steps to reproduce.
1) December update installed.
2) Open game.
3) Lag with more than 2 people.
4) other symptom, offline network message (by myself)
Its not like you can uninstall the update to prove the update did this so Mr. Steve, how does one show this correctly? Like I said, let the updates be a choice or allow someone the ability to downgrade a version. I'd rather have the ability to play using less "features" then forced update and the game breaks. I wish I can uninstall the last 3 updates, before horses etc... game ran perfectly. fast, no lag, I could invite 8 people and NOT have to kick people out for lag or get kicked out because you were the 6,7 or 8 person in a room.
I've seen very similar behavior. We often play 2-player splitscreen, with the City/Modern texture pack (I forget the proper name). When we exit a world and then immediately start the same world again, it's not 100%, but it's a very high percentage of the time the console will lock up within 5-30 seconds. When it locks up, audio will still play normally, the background music continues, but the screen freezes and everything is nonresponsive - the only thing that works is holding the power button to shut down the PS3.
This most often occurs when doing an exit-without-save, in my experience. Rarely, first entering a world that's previously locked up like that will result in locking up again even after restarting, but usually it's only after exiting a world and then entering it again on the same session.

I'm not sure, but I think the chance of lockup is slightly less if your view when you save the game is obstructed so when you start again, there's not much to render. That may be a red herring, though.
The risk might also be slightly less if you wait for the on-screen disk access indicator to go away after exiting the game before you go to the world selection screen, and if you wait before moving in the world for the on-screen disk indicator to stop (but I've had it happen even if I do wait). It usually happens before the second player can join.
EDIT AGAIN:
The key is, if it happens, it really only happens very shortly after you start in an existing world. I don't have it happen after we've been playing for a long time, only when we start (or quit and start again). It will happen with single player - I don't think it's specifically tied to two-player splitscreen. If you're two or three minutes into the world, though, then you're safe.
the way i avoid a lock up when a world is loaded is to when its loaded dont use r3 move staight left right and backword wait a bit like 1 min then do what ever you want. works all the time, no just loaded crashes as long as i do it very slowly
Horses seem to stutter/lag/skip while running, momentarily pausing for a fraction of a second while being ridden. My horse is equipped with diamond armor, havent had the oppurnity to try on an un-armord horse, not that many in my seed.
PLaying Single Player, Online mode, doesn't matter what difficulty setting, and in Survival mode, using City Texture Pack.
It's so bad that I prefer not to even use the horse anymore because it seems it's faster to just run to where I need to be now.
I've rebuilt my PS3 slim's database because I thought that might help, thinking it might be the problem even though the system is brand new, but it didn't help. Searching Google it seems that it is a known problem on the PC version and whatever bug it had seems to be affecting the consol version now too.
EDIT- Horses without armor also do the same. Tried to see if texture packs had something to do with it and used the default tp and it still does the same thing, Also threw a saddle on a pig to see if the same stuttering effect would happen and Yes, yes it did. Pigs stutter also just like Horses.
Hostile mobs are spawning on Half Slabs. I have a Witch Farm with half slabs around the outer areas of it and hostile mobs still spawn on them. In Survival, Online Mode, City Texture Pack, Single Player.

Found a redstone bug with a T flip-flop. Tried it in creative/offline/City texture and survival/offline/default texture.
These two are identical except for the placement of the repeater. The one in front works, the one behind does not. They both worked before update 1.12.

If you add a one-block space between the input and the torch, it will work again.
Not sure if this is a bug or my system and/or internets fault, but randomly I'll get messages in the middle of my game (when signed into PSN of course) say something along the lines of 'network error, switching to offline game'. I've never had this happen to me until the update in Dec., so that's why I'm not sure.
As well, ever since the Dec update, I'll also randomly get a message that says "Minecraft has failed and cannot continue". I only get that one if I try to save my game manually. Never had it happen with autosaves though, so I'm not sure whats up there.

Finally someone who has gotten these messages since the DEC update. Those are the same messages I am getting. It is very frustrating as it is not my internet provider or connection.

The error about being kicked off PSN and switching to offline mode might not a Minecraft bug. Sony's network (and Microsoft's) have been under intermittent denial of service attacks ever since just before Christmas. When they start and the PSN network gets sketchy, you can get kicked out no matter what you're doing.
Same thing happens with their PSN maintenance, often on Mondays or Thursdays, usually announced about two days in advance on their twitter feed (maybe elsewhere as well).
My game also does what everyone else is saying I am on fantasy pack an after the update I have noticed my pistons can no longer be placed facing upwards towards the sky, the freezes same as everyone, and my chests stay open, now I can't even play the game cause it won't let me scroll past create new world an tutorial. When I create new world it, I starred with the help of a chest it would not let get out of the chest. this is all because of the 1.14 update before all this it seemed to run fine.
Playstation network/Sony say they have nothing to do with these glitches which s true considering they just have the rights to sell it an get there updates through mojang
Maybe fix the glitches that are important instead of stupid glitches like duplicating or what not I like to play the game don't care if someone want to duplicate there items it really isn't worth caring about.I don't use these glitches but surely don't are if other people do

Tenho muitas construções neste mapa e tive um problema com alguns lugares do mapa onde minerava. Ele trava a imagem e nada novo acontece. Eu posso destruir blocos e colocar tocha que não afeta nada na imagem mostrada pelo ps3. se continuar jogando o sistema do ps3 trava. Também tenho o irritante problema citado anteriormente de travar o ps3 e forçar o reinicio manualmente. Também tenho problemas de posicionamento dos pistãos, ejetores e disparadores. Muito lag quando jogamos em 2 ou 3 player com a tela dividida.

I have many buildings in this map and had a problem with some parts of the map where mined. It hangs the picture and nothing new happens. I can destroy blocks and put torch that does not affect anything in the image shown by the ps3. to continue playing the ps3 system hangs.
I also have the annoying problem mentioned earlier to catch the ps3 and force the restart manually.
I also have problems of positioning of the pistons, ejectors and triggers. Very lag when playing in 2 or 3 player with the split screen.
Hostile mobs aren't supposed to be spawning on half slabs right? Well they are.
It might depend on whether they are right-side up or upside-down- placed at the lower orientation they should not spawn, but if they are level with a whole block (placed at the top-half) they would act as a normal spawning surface. I'll have to check it out next time I get a chance, but I haven't had a problem with mobs spawning on half-slabs.

I thought that too till I saw a netherman on top of a lower slab layer. Well lit area also!! But the upper level is slab to upper level like you said but lighted also. I thought the whole point was to lay half slabs to STOP spawning?

Could the Enderman have wandered there AFTER spawning somewhere else? The idea of the half slab is that it is not a full-block height so mobs can't spawn on it- with upside-down placement they will spawn (same with an upside-down stair)-
You could try glass blocks, but it might not go with your build (you could probably cover the glass with carpet).
This feature isn't added until PC version 1.8
