MCX360 Smashes Sales Records - Third Platform Dominated
It was announced in a statement released by Microsoft that Minecraft: 360 Edition has surpassed all previous sales records on the XBOX Live Arcade, selling more digital copies in the first twenty-four hours of launch than any other title! There are already over four hundred thousand ratings for the game on XBLA, and it clearly has a strong start in the multiplayer community.
Official figures have not been released yet regarding the exact number of sales; it has been estimated, based on the game's ratings by players, that sales exceeded four hundred-thousand copies within 24 hours of going live, worldwide.
Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition was developed by 4J Studios in conjunction with Mojang and Microsoft Studios, and introduces new gameplay experiences such as a unique crafting menu, game tutorials, and split-screen multiplayer as well as online multiplayer for up to eight players over Xbox LIVE, with split-screen, network play, or any combination thereof.

So, once more you guys will Ignore the fact that a lot of people are disappointed and displeased with the product. So typical, let's just turn a blind eye. You should mention the number of people wanting a refund.

From what I can tell, a lot more people are happy with it than displeased. That's not to say that the number of displeased people is in any way insignificant, but to fully discount the number of players who are enjoying it would be equally insulting, wouldn't it?
Bought it when it came out. Definitely better than I expected. I don't care if I already have it for PC, split-screen is the main reason I bought it, and it runs fantastic!

You should compare the number of unhappy people to happy people before you yourself make a big deal out of something like that.
I bought the game myself (and I've had it for the pc since Beta 1.3) It takes a bit of getting use to, since its on a controller. I don't see how you could trash talk about it, considering its the NEW xbox edition, Its not actually complete in its own development yet. The update for it right now is 1.6.6 (Beta for PC). Its not exactly like PC is right now... Yet*... when it meets that goal it will absolutely amazing. Until then, its just pretty awesome... there's obviously things that need to be tweaked and added in-which they plan on doing.
I just have one complaint/suggestion(and only cuz' I don't know if they're gonna fix it). An option to turn off the GUI help messages that always appear when you start a new world... its a tad' bit annoying... Its that one guy that tells you how to do stuff when you already know how to do it...
I bought this and it has been fun, there are alot of bugs still but minecraft even on PC still has those, it runs a whole lot smoother. Hoping this gets updated soon to at least 1.8 for sprinting and hunger bar.
380,000 of these people probably have no idea how many game breaking bugs there are before they bought this. I mean saving and quitting and your inventory is completely lost upon loading the game up again. I know a lot of people are enjoying it as well, but from what I've been reading, the bug I mentioned above, no splitscreen unless you have HDMI/component and an HDTV, and water dissappearing as soon as you drop it out of a bucket make this a very bad decision to purchase. This is definently not the way to play minecraft, I mean how could you enjoy it if you started mining and found out after quitting and getting back on that your 16 diamonds are gone? Now if ALL of these things get fixed in a future update, I may purchase the game, but not until then (it's just not worth the $20 for a broken game).
Still thinking out would be awesome if they did a special giveaway our a discount for people who who have purchased the other purge emanations of minecraft. Hehe I would so totally but the 360 version..but an turn as I allready have the pc and pocket editions

Noobs need to stop whining. I haven't experienced the "not saving" glitch. I am calling PEBKAC. (Or PEBCAC in this case)... The other glitches were normal for those of us who actually played the game back then. (Beta 1.6.6 and prior)... I like the familiar feeling it brings back.
For those of you betching about splitscreen not working, Why the heck aren't you using HDMI? Get with the times. Geez.

...until I read the footnote.
I said this. Two days later, my computer's motherboard melted down and I had to get a new one with Windows 8.
Irony in the first degree.
