All of the following bugs can be found with the magnifying glass.
All of the following animals can be found with the luxury magnifying glass.
To find worms or mice, look in grass or dirt. For sand fleas or crabs, look in sand. For silverfish or lizards, look in stone. For ants or birds, look in leaves, and for termites or squirrels, look in logs.

You can also get body parts, eyes, hearts, or human heads, which are found by killing weakened travelers or cannibals (Each cannibal is carrying the item they will drop).
Next, you craft your worms and sand fleas into Bug Kabobs like so.
(they can be crafted with any combo of bugs as long as the sticks in the middle and they are in the corners shown)
Meat Kabobs and Fish Kabobs are crafted like so:
(any combo of meats)
Or you can craft a silverfish into a silverfish stick! (yes I know it isn't a real fish )
Or, you can craft ants and termites into Ants 'N' Termites like this:
Or you can craft Human Stew like this:
These ingredients can all be eaten by themselves as well.
Achievements!
This mod adds a whole new achievement page, with 8 new achievements.

I like the idea, but I think it still needs to be a tad bit more difficult. Like use a less common block or use a block you may not want to sacrifice like iron.

Hmmmm thanks I'l probably implement this soon, any ideas on what food iron would make?

Hmm, not sure. In real life your body needs iron as a mineral to survive. Maybe base something off of that. Or maybe make something completely new and random. It's minecraft after all. I can do a mod review on my YouTube channel once you have the mod cleaned up if you like.

Sure thanks! Il probably leave in my first two foods just for kicks, but probably tommorow il add something like mineral tablets crafted from ingots that heal a certain amount based on their rarity? Im not sure but keep thinking up ideas theyre great!

If you need help with textures as well, let me know. I've taken a graphic arts course before so I have experence. I would suggest giving the food very low saturation as well since they are just worms and ticks. You can just have the iron crafted into "minerals".
i think you should make a tool like something to sift through sand and dirt and then when you mine blocks with this tool it has a like 1 in 5 or so chance of dropping the food and then the other times it drops the block. that would make it more realistic because you would have to search for food.

Iv got a good idea for this but im not quite sure if il be able to code it the way i want it to work... I'l definitely do something like this though

Feel free to send me textures, if i like them il use them and credit you
Hmm i like this, but mabye like you make a machine, (powered with eu or blulectric mabye?) that will require a type of cell (like ic2 ones or forestry?) then you put them in a bottom slot and then to make the mineral tablets you need 2 iron ingots and 1 glowstone (Mabye?), then it makes 5 tablets that heal like 1 - 2 hearts each?
Hope you like my suggestions
That's a good idea but its straying too far from the mod's purpose IMO.
The point is to get easy quick food to sustain long enough to find real food. I think you should just make the recipes a bit more time consuming. You should have 8 blocks of dirt to one worm or four blocks to a worm (same goes with sand to bugs) therefore its still easy but a tad bit more time consuming to be less useful than finding real food.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Hmm, a funny signature eh? *rolls a one* NOO! Now nobody will get this!

Well for it to work with other mods I would have to talk with the creators of those mods and blend the source codes so unfortunately this probably won't happen :/

Yeah i probably will make the recipes a little more expensive, or maybe have blocks generate in the world that happen to contain certain bugs? that might be cool
