These are some of my first mods. I wanted to make something more original then, say, new ores and tools, and also fun. So...
Note: I only have screenshots of the tweaks, but they don't do the tweaks justice; if anyone could make a video it would be appreciated.
Allergic Creepers
Have you ever wondered why creepers are terrified of cats? Because cats love fish, and creepers are allergic to fish!
This tweak makes creepers explode harmlessly when you right-click them with fish. Note that the explosion also blows up the fish used. (Untested)
Demo:
Anti-gravity
This tweak brings the gravity of the moon to Minecraft: Jumps take you 6.5 blocks into the air, and fall damage is scaled accordingly so you don't die. A side effect: Escaping lava if you fall in is a lot easier than vanilla. Mobs don't float like you do, so you can beat them up or run/float/jump away easily.
First, back up your minecraft.jar, these tweaks (especially Anti-Gravity) get old.
Copy the class in the zip folder into your minecraft.jar. If you use Minecraft Forge, install Anti-Gravity after Forge, and note that Anti-Gravity probably requires Forge. (Untested)
If you didn't back up your minecraft.jar (Shame on you!) and you want to uninstall Anti-Gravity, simply install Minecraft Forge, overwriting it. If you want to uninstall Allergic Creepers, you are out of luck and will hopefully learn your lesson while rebuilding your modpack.
Compatibility
Both tweaks are compatible with Minecraft Forge, in fact AG probably depends on it, but otherwise any mod that changes the same classes is probably not compatible. If people want me to build them with another mod's changes, I can probably do this easily.
Legal Stuff
Allergic Creepers:
The changes I made are released as public domain, please do not bug me for permission to modify these or incorporate them into a mod or modpack. If you do so, recognition is appreciated but not demanded. Consider that they are mostly Mojang's code and even my changes are largely copied from elsewhere in Minecraft, so these tweaks are mostly under Mojang's license and TOS.

That's already in vanilla minecraft. I put my cats on the edge of my area, to keep creepers out.
