i decided to relocate. i got into a boat with a hole lot of vaulible stuff, and set off. i saw a black strip in my way and so decided to try and cross it as fast as possible. next thing i knew, i was falling into the void. i logged out so im not dead yet should i log back in
If you have no cheats, you can try to use the time in which you don't take damage to open game to lan and use the procedure above, otherwise you risk falling into the void or suffocate into the blocks you would have fallen through (if you are lucky, you would spawn in water, but don't count on that).
What 'black strip'? There is no void in Overworld to fall into. Either your computer has problem loading chunks - which means once it finally loads, you should be all safe and sound - or your world is seriously corrupted. You can try making a backup before logging back in but frankly, judging from your posts, you might be best off starting a fresh new world.

If you have cheats activated, log back in and type /gamemode spectator and wait in spectator mode untile the chunks load.
no cheats, im afraid

But if you do spectator sometimes it crashes.
