So I'm playing on a small private server with about ten or so other friends, and we've agreed to set up a shopping district/area at spawn. I've played on servers with shopping districts before but never really used them because I like gathering my own resources and hoarding diamonds, but I'm excited to set up some shops and see what everyone else does, too.
My problem though is that because I've never used/made a shop before, I don't know what a good price is to charge for anything. Out of everyone I think I have the most, since I'm the only one with automatic farms, iron farm, and a villager trading center, so I feel like iron and enchanted books and such would be the best option. How much should I charge for Mending, Silk Touch, Fortune, Efficiency IV, etc, and a stack of iron ingots/blocks?
Note: I'm not asking my friends because I want to surprise them by just building the shop one night when they're all offline lol.
Hello, this website shows different prices of items, if you look at how much the item you want to sell is, and divide that number by the price of a diamond you should get how many diamonds it should be sold for, you could change diamonds, to iron or anything else that you want to use as a currency:
Or you can use ProjectE equivalent exchange values. Keep in mind that unmodded minecraft means some resources are not renewable (for instance, diamonds) while some are through villagers (diamond tools and armor, even enchanted).
For instance, cobblestone, sand and derivatives (stone, glass, and so on) are 1 EMC, if I remember well coal is 128 and diamond and emerald are 8192. There should be a table for common vanilla items on the web...
