I got the kinetic energy death recently. Made me laugh.
I'm not sure whether or not to say congrats. And to clarify, most of my Elytra deaths weren't me falling, but me managing to faceplant into the floor while facing straight up.

Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.

That takes talent. How do you even do that?
Sometimes I manage to launch without my wings. Not really sure how that works either. I jump, fire the rocket and soar upwards, then fall back down and take damage. I launch, but I can't glide. Odd...
In my current 1.7.10 Modded Survival world, that I play in the most at the moment, I was doing a little bit of exploring and found one of, in my opinion, the coolest looking Biomes. A Savanna M. I have found a few of these in the past, but this one I really liked in particular.
There is a nice floating island as well, which I thought looked a little odd. Other than that, thought this was a cool area.
Before anything else, I'm replacing the bottom layer of bedrock with black glass. I'm going to replace the walls with stone bricks sometime, maybe even a slope going inwards so it seems spacious.
After that, I'm going to make two mini domes coming out of them. One will drop chickens into the Void and give me a Saturation effect (it's a command world, that's how I want this base to feed me) and the other will lead to a mini mob arena.

I made some improvements to Ray's insane ender pearl farm. First I expanded the drop to a 2 wide column. My thought process was that there are so many endermen spawning in that trap they would push each other aside, and that would spread the load across two hoppers at the collection point. One hopper was definitely not fast enough.
In testing this change I find it works very well. I have two double chests with one hopper feeding each, and the number of pearls collected is pretty close to even. And I don't find any extra pearls floating around when I return spawn.
The second change is adding a switch to turn off the farm. I placed trapdoors around the minecart that has the endermite, and by closing them the endermen don't see it and agro. I also put the endermite in a minecart because I kept losing it when it was just sitting on the portal pedestal.
And finally, I added an easy way up to the AFK platform that doesn't block access to the end portal. I stand on the slime block, push the button and I'm bounced up to the ladder (I use my elytra to get down, or just jump into the portal).
I you are not familiar with this simple and ingenious pearl farm, check out Ray's video on youtube.
I also created a new loading system to collect and store the output of a farm. It collects the items in a double-chest, and when the chest is full it passes any overflow into a shulker box. When the shulker box fills up it is broken by a piston and collected into another chest, then a dispenser places another shulker box into the loader and the process continues. The advantage to this system over one that just loads shulker boxes is that you always have the contents of the double chest immediately available.
I know it won't win any style points, but it works. Now if I only had an unlimited supply of shulker boxes...
Made some serious progress on my castle. It may not be impressive to some, but it's the biggest thing I've done on a survival world. When it's complete, it will be around 50 blocks tall, and with about a 40x60 base area.
Here's some of the rooms. A cozy enchanting room:
A forge/workshop:
My armory, but barely finished. There's gonna be a lot more swords, armor, and the like:
Here's a view from the outside:
And a view of the top. You can see that there's a lot that needs to be built still. There's still at least four more stories to complete.
To fix those pictures, you need to specify the actual image link, not the Imgur wrapper page. If you add .jpg to the end of a single image page, or right-click the image and open it in a new tab, you can get the link for them. For the first one, the album, you'll just have to post them individually.
Currently in the process of re-doing a Village that I am going to be living close too. Since I want to live near it, I do not want to live near the bad looking generated Village. So I have taken on this large project of giving it a bit of a makeover. I decided to start with the Church. I tore down the original one first. (Thank goodness for my diamond pick or that could have taken a while), and used the cobblestone that I got from that to build a new and improved Church. Here's what it looks like, now that I have it fully complete.
Considering I am not an amazing builder, I feel as if this turned out quite well, and I am extremely proud of it. It took me a total of 3 real life days to build. I have decorated the inside as well, but didn't feel like taking screenshots. It did turn out very stony, but I tried to use a mixture. I used cobblestone, smooth stone and a marble stone brick from the Chisel mod. If anyone wants to give me feedback on ways I could make it look better, I would be more than willing to listen. I still not sure about the top roof part of the tower thingy. I might change that to be a different block other than stone. Maybe also change the design slightly.

Nice. Looks like a fun project. The biggest thing I have built is my Guardian farm, which is bigger than your castle (in its present form). It has a 62x62 by I forget how tall light blue stained glass wall around it that took a very long time to build.
There were times I thought I might never finish. I even started a new world to take a break from it. LOL.
Good luck with your castle. I've never really built a big dwelling. Don't have the patience or artistic skills, I guess. So I always admire big projects like this.
Hi I'm actually new to minecraft andlove everything about the game, still learning new things everyday but currently I'm playing on PS3, the seed :Eme, was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks for me, you guys are awesome and I had no idea minecraft had a huge community still
I finished replacing the pigman spawner in my combo Iron+Gold farm with a creeper spawner, so I now have a combo Iron+Gunpowder farm.
Before...
After...
With the new rocket powered elytra I find I need gunpowder much more than gold (never had much use for gold). Also, I have a hole in the roof of the Nether, so I could build a much better gold farm there (which I probably will... someday).
When I designed the creeper spawner in my creative test world I used iron blocks for the base because I thought it looked good with the brightly colored wool, and I was building it over my iron farm, so it made sense (plus I have tons of iron blocks).
However, now that it's done and I've seen it in place I'm wondering if that was the best design choice? The golem spawners were made from polished Diorite (with some Andesite and Granite accents), and the base of the creeper farm doesn't match. I wonder if I should have made it out of polished diorite for a more cohesive look?
What do you think (click on the 2nd picture in the spoiler for a higher resolution close up)?
MC Day 9890: After locating my first Woodland Mansion via the map I got from a cartographer, I decided to visit and explore the mansion. Its approx 14800 North/2000 East of my world spawn, which is an area i've never been to, however my nether rail link takes me 8000 blocks North, before turning East to my Mesa base, so I simply changed the corner to a junction and extended the rail north. I created a temp portal to the mansion so i could position the portal in the mansion where i want it (under the staircase to the 1st floor) and determine the exact nether coordinates for the permanent portal, and hence where the rail link needs to go.
Its a good sized mansion, and my objective was to keep the mansion as is; light up the various rooms, repair any generation damage and augment any parts that were a bit naff (the staircase to the 2nd floor is a bit odd). I also didnt want to kill all the Vindicators/Evokers, but section them off somehow for future study(!). As one of the rooms I discovered was a 4 cell prison complex, I trapped 8 of the Vindicators in the cells; a fitting home for such vicious little gits! (They killed me twice!) The Evokers were harder to move as they dont chase you, but keep their distance; Using an invisibilty potion, I found I could approach them without them using their magic, but they still react to you by moving away; I was therefore able to corral the Evokers down a pre-arranged channel I had built to one of the smaller rooms, and blocked them in. I found 5 Evokers in total; killed 2 for the Totem's of Undying and incarcerated the other 3. As for secret rooms, I found a spider spawner, two empty rooms and a TNT/End Portal room ... and to cap it all, I discovered the mansion had a cat statue room, which i was hoping to get!

Perfect in the sense that this is exactly what I wanted. I know it's not the max possible, but I don't like Fire Aspect, and Knockback II is too much.
It came off the enchanting table with Sharpness III, Unbreaking III and Sweeping Edge III. I combined that with another Sharpness III sword I had to bring it up to Sharpness IV, and then went looking for a Sharpness IV book at my villages. None of my villagers had a Sharpness IV book, so I paid way too much for 2 Sharpness III books and combined them to make a Sharpness IV book, which I combined with the sword to finally get Sharpness V. I added Mending, Looting III and Knockback I with books. I was worried that I might max out the anvil with all that extra combining, but the final enchant with renaming was only 17 levels.
This completes my OP gear.
Sword-1: (above)
Sword-2: "Biter Smiter" Smite V, Mending, Unbreaking III, Looting III, Knockback I
Bow: Power V, Unbreaking III, Flame, Infinity, Punch I, Mending (created before 1.11.2 made Mending & Infinity incompatible)
Pickaxe-1: Mending, Efficiency V, Fortune III, Unbreaking III
Pickaxe-2: Unbreaking III, Efficiency IV, Silk Touch, Mending
Axe: "The AXE Effect" Silk Touch, Efficiency IV, Unbreaking III, Mending
Shovel: Unbreaking III, Efficiency IV, Mending
Elytra: Unbreaking III, Mending
Helmet: Respiration III, Aqua Affinity, Protection IV, Unbreaking III, Mending
Chestplate: Unbreaking III, Protection IV, Mending
Leggings: Protection IV, Unbreaking III, Mending
Boots: Depth Strider III, Protection IV, Unbreaking III, Feather Falling IV, Mending
This is in my older world started in version 1.8. I had pretty OP gear, but there was no Mending or Sweeping Edge enchants back then, and some of my gear had been through the anvil enough times that it said "Too Expensive" when I tried to add the new enchants. My sword was the last piece of old gear that I had to replace to get the new enchants.
Now all I need is XP to keep this gear in good shape, and I have lots of options in this world. I have a dungeon spider farm which can operate in AFK string collection mode, or I can actively kill the spiders for eyes and XP. I have a dungeon skeleton grinder. I can go to The End and stand under a 2 high roof while killing Endermen, which would get me Ender pearls too (but I also have an OP pearl farm, so I don't really need any more). And last but not least, I have my Guardian farm which can switch from collection only to XP mode at the push of a button.
I was raiding an End City on a server, when I found this beauty.
It turns out one of the shulkers I shot outside had teleported inside the opening. It kept trying to shoot me, but its bullet kept ramming right into the wall and bursting. I had a good laugh before I finished the poor thing off and went on my way.
