I've been working on a map with a lot of redstone, but it has gotten waay laggier then I wanted it to be. Now I'm stuck here wondering how to fix the dang thing..
World name: World#2 Started: Alpha 1.2 Status: Main world, re-generating.
Recently continued to glass over the roof of my underwater tunnel, removing more of the temporary dirt, the glass roof; (Well it's all glass), now spans ovr 3/4 of the underwater tunnel. Before Christmas I found that 2000 - 4000 minecraft miles from second home, my "Half-way house" there is a mesa biome in the new chunk. Because if this I have finally changed the light grey wool walls leading to storage and the white wool walls in the V.I.P. room (Overlooking the pool and single tennis court) with the same colours in stained hardened clay. On that way down to storage I have also finally created, or started to, create a proper enchantment room in what used to be the old science labb. (Which was damaged heavily by a creeper, taken apart, and blocked up with cobble and sealed - had fun undoing that!)
As you can see it's early days yet and the walls need changing, and ceiling.. There's also a big map on the wall to the right of where I'm standing as well now. Love joing lots of little maps up. Whilst at the earlier mentioned mesa, I also took back alot of red sand but couldn't find anything to use it for. So now I've re-done my tennis court, before it was just the lines in grass with white wool, these have now been replaced with white carpet so I can light it better (Taking away the glowstone from the side edges, now under the carpet) and replaced the grass blocks with red sand so it looks like a proper artificial court. I sall add more glowstone when I can, especially now I have an unbreaking III/silk touch I pick.
Yesterday and today I made the huge 5000 Minecraft mile journey to get a new horse following the accidental recent death of my much beloved "Pond". I was out adventuring, leading Pond, but instead of stepping up onto the ice, went underneath and started drowning. I tried to pick the ice quickly but it was no good. SHould've used my Silk touch pick really, but wasn't quick enough to think of it. I ended up getting a Horse which is brown again but has black spots, I call him Mr. Spankles. I also ended getting a donkey (So had to make the journey twice) which I called Taylor Swift.
I'd like to get another third horse (For my third stable) and start breeding, but then I'd need to expand said stable or build another. Mr. Spankles has more health than my last one, but is nowhere near as fast.

Lately I've been subject to change working on some farms in a small valley behind my house. The wheat and pumpkin farms are done, now it's only a matter of time before I'm finished with the potatoes and sugarcane.
As you can see, I've also been breeding some sheep.
Now I'd like to focus on pimpin' my crib, as it sorta looks like crap, and maybe build a bigger storage room. I'm planning on using the wool from the sheep to make some carpets.

I...I Hoewailen have run an empire, one that stretched from sea to sea! playing legit! playing in creative and playing just for fun.
what began as a simple mountain house became so, so much more!

I ruled an empire reaching for thousands and thousands of blocks, over a dozen people I held dominion over. upon my land were bosses, unique dungeon's trade routes! bandit camps! cults and faction wars! I held dominion over all in the Wyvern Empire!
until all was lost...
the server stagnated people stopped coming on and the server slowly ran out of funds.
I was reduced to being the only person on for days at a time, contenting myself with creating new dungeons so that hopefully more people would come on...
it was not to be soon the server closed and will not start up for some time,
I was happy in was content and now, my greatest build my greatest achievement ever on minecraft, is lost to me.
A continent of uniqueness a plethora of dungeons the crowning achievement of all I've ever created gone with the mists of time.I am proud to say what I have done recently, is play on the great server dietycraft http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1777210-deitycraft-164-custom-technic-modpack-tinkers-construct-custom-npcs-harvestcraft-bibliocraft-many-more/
I made some more progress on my underground sheep farm. I did some more digging and also put in a little more of the ceiling boards.
I found a male chocobo (from ChocoCraft) to breed with the female that I found for breeding. The first offspring that they produced was a yellow chocobo (as opposed to a blue or green one), so I put a pack bag on him and will use him to transport... well, I'll think of something.
I built a nether portal on a hill side far from my base, but it linked to the nether portal in the cave that the portal in my basement linked to. I ended up destroying the nether side of my basement portal and killing myself (to get out of the nether). Since I play with keepInventory turned on, I just respawned without losing anything. The new nether side to the portal out on that hill side links to a patch of soul sand on the side of a cliff, which is something that I can work with. I will probably destroy the nether portal in that room in my basement and put an automatic charcoal maker in that room instead.
I have made slight progress on my iron farm, but not much. I really need to get back to work on that some time.
I haven't been playing MineCraft that much lately. My interest in playing it varies over time, though; after not playing it much for a while, I start to really want to play it but after playing it a lot I get a little tired of it. I'm in that "a little tired of it" phase right now.
That's the story thus far!

I recently built a cave spider xp farm, minecart elevator to go back up and a simple hole down with one small block of water at the bottom to just jump down it. I made a rail system from my house to the farm and from the farm to my enchanting room. I also made an auto chicken farm for food+feathers. I have decided to look around and see if I can find a skeleton spawner or something like that to get bones/arrows.
I finished my house in a new 1.7 world the server I play on generated recently:
The interior.
The front of the house.
The (small) acacia tree farm. The trees grow pretty fast, though, so with only 3 trees I can get at least a stack of wood from them if I cut them down and replant them a few times while I'm online.

I completed the AE system and found it did not use all that much power. The only things I have not hooked up to it yet are my IC2 and Thermal Expansion machines, partly because I get XP from smelting iron and gold, and from macerating TE silver, and because I am not getting that much ore from manually mining. Once I get a quarry up and running, I am going to want to automate ore processing.
I also semi-automated my IC2 Recyclers using Buildcraft golden transport pipes and an Autarchic Gate attached to a wooden transport pipe coming from a gold chest filled with cobblestone. The gate sends energy pulses into the wooden pipe, which causes cobblestone to be pulled out of the chest into the pipes where it gets sent into the nearest recycler. This continues until it is full of both scrap and cobblestone, then the next recycler starts getting filled. I had 31 of these set up for manually feeding cobblestone, but in automating this I have found that cobblestone rarely gets past the first 8 or so recyclers.
I've made it to a good place with building my base and nether outpost and had my first potato harvest. I finished building my skeleton/ xp farm but I have no brewing equipment so thats next on the list.
I recently started a second world with a new seed. I wanted to have a fresh world that didn't have the clutter that my main world has. (I still like my main world, but I want to have something else to go to as well.)
I have started on my house and a mining tunnel. Instead of a chocobo (from ChocoCraft), I've opted for one of the many horses around my spawn. Since I have recipes for saddles and horse armor defined for the Custom Recipes mod (specifically, the recipes from Mo' Creatures), I was able to make a saddle once I had a little bit of leather and iron.
I've set up tree farms for oak, spruce, and birch and also have a giant jungle tree that I cut down and replant occasionally.
I have some of my Forestry backpacks, as well, but I'm still looking for clay so that I can make my builder backpack. None of the lakes around my spawn have clay, so I'll definitely have to do some exploring to find it.
As for my main world...
I've made a little progress on my underground sheep farm. Not a lot, but some. I've got space for nine of the sheep pens dug out and I'm working on expanding the chamber out for one more pen in each direction (that is, along each horizontal axis).
The second nether portal that I built (which I built because my basement nether portal led into a cave that I couldn't dig out of without hitting lava) leads to an island high above the lava ocean, so I'm building a bridge to a nearby landmass. The landmass is far below the island, so I'll have to figure out how to build the far end of the bridge.
Since that nether portal leads to an island, I'm also considering building a long bridge out and then a gold farm. I've found a good nether-based gold farm design on YouTube and I want to build it. I'll get to that once my iron farm is complete, though.
Speaking of the nether portal in my basement, I destroyed it since it was basically useless and built a charcoal maker in that room instead. Since I have so much excess wood that I can make into charcoal (including the rubber wood from MineFactory reloaded which isn't good for much else), it will make producing that charcoal much more convenient.
I'm also building a bridge across a large lake near my base. It branches part-way along it to link to more than one shore of the lake.
I've written some code with my ComputerCraft stuff. I've got some utilities to allow turtles (robots which can move, place and remove blocks, and access block inventories) to track their own movements and keep track of their inventory as well as having started a utility script which provides easy functions for building. I also built a turtle robot with a pickaxe (turtles need to have a fully intact diamond tool attached to break blocks; a pickaxe allows them to break any solid block) so that I can hopefully use it to automatically build shelters.
I've done some chocobo breeding and ended up with a green chocobo of each gender as well as a female blue chocobo. After trying out the blue chocob's swimming abilities (they are supposed to be really fast when swimming), I found that they handle deep water like horses do; they sink a little and you fall off of them. This basically makes the blue chocobo not worth that much for me to ride, so I'll probably breed her with the male green chocobo to try to get a white chocobo. Once I have that, I'm that much closer to having a gold chocobo!
I've kind of stalled on building my iron farm, but I'll try to finish it soon. I've been doing a lot of digging lately and getting something built would be nice for me.
On the topic of digging, I started a new mining tunnel and almost immediately ran into a cave. I'm thinking that I'll find a different place to dig. I hate running into caves when I'm digging out a mine. Hate.
That's the story thus far!

The source of my intention isn't really crime prevention; my intention is prevention of the lie! Yeah, welcome to the Scatman's world!
I did a little bit of Thaumcraft research and got several discoveries, including Thaumium (a magical metal which is highly enchantable. It has about the same durability as iron), as well as several metal transmutations (gold, copper, tin and silver). I also got Enchanted Fabric and the Thaumaturgist's Robes.
I added one extra Coke Oven and Blast Furnace (both multiblock structures from Railcraft), making a total of 2 each. These will be important for when I start building rail lines. Railcraft alters the vanilla track recipes so that both Creosote Oil to make wooden ties and then railbeds is needed, as well as the Rolling Machine to turn iron into rails. The Blast Furnace is used to make Steel for high speed rails, and only Coal Coke (a byproduct of burning coal in the Coke Oven - Creosote Oil is also made in it) and Charcoal can be used to fuel it.
And finally I visited several new Mystcraft Ages, though none were really good ones. I kept getting End World types (large floating islands, but no Dragon, End Stone or Endermen) and Void Ages. I saved a few of the books for the End World ones in a chest, but recycled all the rest.
Well, I killed my entire chicken farm and repopulated it with babies. I then had to use some leads to tie nine baby chickens to a fence post so I could get back into my house. That was crazy.
I also got my friend to join my clan, Oligarchy of Nirigore.
I did quite a bit more Thaumcraft Research, getting the Unified Thaumic Field Theory (unlocks Tier II in the mod's progression), Warded Jars, Basic Flux Research, Boots of the Traveler, Wand of Fire, the Thaumic Scoop (part of the Thaumic Bees addon - it has more durability than the Forestry Scoop), Arcane Ear, Arcane Levitator, Tiny Fezzes (a golem addon), but most importantly, the Goggles of Revealing.
I already have high Flux from making 4 Flux Filters and 4 Arcane Alembics to put on my Crucible, but have noticed no ill effects. The aspects I have leaked out as Flux are primarily those that cause increased rain and lightning strikes. I've been planting and harvesting Silverwood trees near my base in an effort to reduce this, but Silverwood saplings are fairly rare drops. I've been going to some of my Mystcraft Ages and cutting down every Silverwood tree I come across. So far I have only 4 saplings.
I connected my Thaumcraft room up to my AE system, using a preformatted ME chest for items related to that mod. As I get additional items, I have been adding them to the preformatting. The latest has been the Silverwood saplings. In a Myscraft Age in one of the chests added by Thaumcraft at an obsidian ruin, I found two Portal Guns. Both of these were the Atlas Portal Gun. The obsidian ruins have Mutatio Wisp spawners, and these can shoot small lightning bolts at you. They tend to stay out of reach of melee weapons, so ranged attacks are needed. I usually take 'em out with my IC2 Mining Laser in long range mode, though this also sets nearby trees on fire.
I also built a portal to the Twilight Forest, explored several Hollow Hills, got quite a bit of ore such as gold, diamonds and emeralds, but also encountered quite a few monsters. Most of the rare ore I got in the largest sized hills, which are about 112 blocks in diameter. They contain the most dangerous monsters, such as zombies, skeletons, creepers, endermen, cave spiders, redcap goblins, redcap goblin sappers (they deploy TNT at you), Slime Beetles (they shoot slime balls at you), Fire Beetles (they shoot fire) and Pinch Beetles (they rush up to you and pick you up with their mandibles, damaging you), and Wraiths (they float in the upper areas and are kind of like the Wisps, but hit you with melee attacks). I got some rare items such as Ore Magnets, Moonworm Queens (they can be used to place Moonworms for light), Steeleaf, Naga Scales, and in a Medium Hollow Hill, 2 Uncrafting Tables. These allow you to break down crafted items into their components, at a cost of 1 llevel of XP per component.
In the Twilight Forest I encountered the Quest Ram. You feed him one of each color wool, and he gives you one of each mineral block (iron, gold, lapis, diamond & emerald) and an item called the Crumble Horn. This makes a bleating sound like a sheep when used, and causes stone and cobblestone to break down into cobble and gravel. I didn't see much of a use for it, so it went in my tools chest with the extra Portal Guns. While flying around in Creative Mode, I encountered a fiery swamp, which is home to one of the Twilight Forest's more challenging bosses, the Hydra. I may go back there later in Survival Mode to fight him. I did fight another boss, the Naga. The Mining Laser made quick work out of it. It might be a good weapon to use against the Hydra.
Later on I went back there with the Goggles of Revealing on. It is not a good place for any Thaumaturgy as there are no Aura Nodes. I got no Vis reading from them whatsoever. There are however Greatwood and Silverwood trees there.
