That is great looking, but the bottom left of the tavern looks a little bland. Maybe throw in a support beam or something? Just an opinion
Anyways, I have been busy lately. Very busy. Also very jacked up on Mountain Der. Kobolds have been delayed, and I suddenly have felt the urge to build a nice little village, no real rules, no requirements, just good old fashioned Minecraft. Perhaps I'll make a thread for that when I finish.
EDIT: Damn me and my carelessness... I hate lava. I officially hate lava and everything it stands for. SO MUCH. ARGH. Now my emeralds and diamonds are dead, and I'm mad at that world. It no longer exists. That was unfortunate.
Blockmaking, I don't know why but I love your buildings. They just seem so... simple. Reminds me of the old minecraft days.
I'd love to keep on my kobold challenge but yet it is the third week without my actual laptop and the third week playing on hunger games servers straight (managed to run minecraft with opfine in this pc). I miss my hardcore and the kobold worlds
Anyways, I've been thinking on building my own custom PC, it seems way cheaper than a regular pre-built one for gaming. If anyone knows any recommendatios, for an instance what should be an adequate motherboard, which cases I should use, etc etc It'd be very helpful. And taco, maybe I could help with that little village of yours, I feel like building something but this pc blocks me from doing anything of the sort.

Over the years I have a few brands that I tend to lean towards. Depending on the $$ you are looking to spend will factor quite a bit on the CPU of choice. Mind you if you get some really techy overclockers or hardware geeks they will pick apart these spec's. Im just trying to give you a good overview on what I know to be a decent system. Above all go on Newegg and read the reviews, they can be helpful.
These are the MINIMUM specs I would go with. If you have extra funds or find a good deal or sale then go for it.
CPU - Intel I5 or AMD FX-4100
CPU cooler - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO
Memory - 8GB DDR3 gskill, crucial, corsair, kingston, muskin, geil, pny soo many brands it shouldnt be of much concern.
Motherboard - Asus, Gigabyte, Asrock - In that order
Case - Antec, Corsair, all others
Powersupply (if not with the case) Corsair, Antec
HDD - if SSD - corsair, OCZ, Intel, samsung - Non SSD - WD Black - WD Green second choice.
DVD - Liteon, Asus, Samsung
The last thing will be the video card. This one will always be one of great debate, AMD or Nvidia. Depending on your funds I would say spending $120-$170 will do you well for the next few years. If you want to wait on the card you can always get a motherboard with builtin graphics but that means you would have to get an APU (GPU+CPU) and a different motherboard.
If you have any questions drop me a line.
BTW what happened to the server. It's been offline forever....
Been pretty busy with university, but I did find time to finish Stage 3 of the Murlock Challenge, so without any further ado; http://imgur.com/a/9iQT9
Not sure I'll have time to do much more work on this for a while - end of semester exams coming up in a couple of weeks
That, and I've been playing a lot of Better Than Wolves lately
Angels are bright, though the brightest fell. Though all things foul would wear the brows of grace; Still grace must look so.
And by the way; Who is John Galt?
Thyrl, I love your Murlock village! Looking forward to see next stage's pics. And yet I face the fourth (or fifth?) weekend without my dear laptop - Where I had my kobold save at, so probably no more pics until next week. Meanwhile I'm playing in random servers having fun. I currently skedaddle at lichcraft, a public server I found with various minigames and survival, and you can anti-grief your lands in that. but I'd reccomend wandering off a bit before doing so.
Also, ghosteth, thanks for your tips! I'd like to know a bit more about what GPU would you recommend - I'm planning to get something similar or superior to a Nvidia GTX 660 (Not sure what's the AMD equivalent to it), but depending on the prices I can find, I'd buy a better one.
I might start a challenge in the server by my own, who knows, if this PC lets me. If I do, I'm posting pics.

This is the comparable card and it really is a tossup between the brands. depending on what games you play will depend on which one you choose. If you play Crysis, Dirt 3, Total War, Civ V then go AMD, If you play SC 2, Batman, Battlefield 3, Portal 2 then go Nvidia. Another thing to think about is Nvidia usually does better at lower resolutions 1680x1050 and below, while AMD usually does better at high resolutions. 1080p and up. Depending on your monitor will also factor a bit. I personally prefer AMD ,but I do have Nvidia cards in a couple of my machines.
I am going to put a server up for us to use. When I get everything running I'll let you guys know and we can get cranking on it.
Update 5-13-2013 10:00am - World is generating now and I hope it will be done at some point tonight. For some reason pregenerating a 32,000 x 32,000 world takes time. Total of 4,000,000 chunks and its sitting on 15k right now. Ill update tonight with the status. The server will be a white-list server so PM me if you want to be on it and I'll add you.
Update 5-13-2013 9:00pm - Filling in the rest of the world will take some time but if anyone is interested in joining just send me a PM. The world is open for building. Running version 1.5.2
Well, I'm back form a holiday of other video games, sickness and school!

Now, hoping on the server Ghost hosted I started construction (In the SouthEastren swamp) on some basic huts, crude, but I could go anywhere after. Blazing, sorry bout that again (gotta love developing nation's Internet) but the map shut down for me...
Perhaps start making a route to build the road upon (curving around spawn)?
Oh, and don't forget to replant the saplings hazardously!

PM Warlock274 or I for more information.
How are you all?
Now, hoping on the server Ghost hosted I started construction (In the SouthEastren swamp) on some basic huts, crude, but I could go anywhere after. Now I was originals settling for a modified version of the Tuskarr challenge (Which should really go on the official lists.) but felt that wasn't enough. So, I grabbed both that and the Murloc challenge and melter them together, changing some things (most notably the underwater domes into shops/fishmonger's/mansions and chucked in some other stuff. Now this is a big challenge, but, it'll be fun!

Blazing, sorry bout that again (gotta love developing nation's Internet) but the map shut down for me...
Perhaps start making a route to build the road upon (curving around spawn)?
Oh, and don't forget to replant the saplings hazardously!
