im playing on a vanilla survival mode 1.7.9 server my friend is hosting.
we've managed to make an 8 floor wool farm (2 colors of sheep each floor) today i left my self near the farm cause i was farming potatos all day and we just realized endermen were teleporting in and moving the dirt causing the sheep to fall down a floor. heres a pic of what each floor looks like
the middle rised floor (included the carpeted fences) is 3 high, putting stone slab's well make it that the endermen cant get to THAT part of it, however the lower floor with the sheep is 4 high and if i lower the ceiling right after the fences i cant drop down into the pen i hit into that block...
i could cover all the ceiling in halfslabs and that would prevent sheep from falling in but that doesnt prevent dirt from being moved around so much (we lost half the second floor today...it was a mess LOL) i cant cover the dirt for obvious reasons...so i dont know what to do =/ any ideas?
Just lower the ceiling one block. Endermen are three blocks high, and therefore will not teleport into a space only two blocks high. Will allow you and the sheep to do what you will in peace.

In the real world, you stick your head in the dirt to hide from problems.
In Minecraft, you stick your head in the dirt to find problems.
the pen is 4 blocks high, the rised area is 3. if i lower the pen ceiling 1 block therefore making it 3 blocks i cant get into it because of the carpeted fences if i made it 2 i still wouldnt be able to get into it.
Water will of course kill all the grass and make the wool farm worthless.
You're best bet without completely redesigning your farm is to make the area around the farm spawn proof. Enderman can only teleport so far, so light up the area around your farm.
I would recommend making it 3 blocks high, then just put a half slab on the top block so it doesn't look to crowded; and the Endermen won't be able to get in.

Lighting up the area around your farm won't do much help. Endermen will teleport anywhere they can fit during a storm, even well lit areas. In fact, it was likely a storm that caused endermen to enter your farm in the first place (assuming the inside of your farm is properly lit)
I suggest you redesign it completely. Design it so that each floor is only 2.5 or 2 blocks tall.
redesigning it at this point is well....i wanna say impossible like i said its 8 floors each floor has 2 sides with a bunch of sheep of each color so redesigning it would be pretty annoying and i'm more likely to get fustrated and tnt the place up..lol
umm everyone is saying make it 3 block high and put half slabs ...i agree however the problem is the middle part is already 3 blocks high with half slabs the part with the goats are 4 blocks high if i make that part 3 blocks i cant into the area with the goats because the ceiling is to low. the farm is raised above water and i've had area's submerged in water before that never solved it =/ ...i really looks like im out of luck i might have to redesign...ugh i dont wanna >_<
basically fence, nether fence, rinse repeat on the ceiling infront of the area you would drop down this allows you to move inbetween the spacing of the fences while taking up a block worth of space. and then lowering the ceiling by 1 and using half slabs

Nice!
You could also try flattening the whole area. I'm pretty sure endermen can't pick up blocks beneath them, only block that are at least one block up.
For instance, Endermen that walk along the path can't grab any of the blocks in the area. Endermen that are in with the sheep can only grab the blocks along the main path, but not the grass blocks on the sheep level.
well dan he took blocks from the 2nd floor..where the sheep were..im not sure if he was on the 1st floor when he took them or on the 2nd floor ( i was afk near the potato farm lol) but if what your saying is true then he was on the first floor and took the floor out from underneath the sheep lol but either way i think this will do thanks everyone for the help
