Ok, I need some help here. So far i have came up with the following 2 methods of breaking blocks without direct player intervention.
1 - One always involves setting off dynamites.
2 - The other is releasing gravity-affected blocks over things like torches or sappling ...
I have also read there is no way to break a block using pistons. (Would have been cool if you could break blocks by pressing them between two pistons.)
Are there any other ways of automatically breaking blocks that I am unaware of?

Burn flammable blocks.
Water destroys redstone contraptions and rails, also collects wheat.
Pistons can break cacti and some other plants.
Burning flammable stuff (like wood) won't break them. the blocks will be consumed in the process.
I haven't tested the thing with water and rails.
and yes. pistons can beak cacti and sugar canes, I guess.
To sum things up, so far we have the following methods:
1 -Setting off dynamites (or creepers)
2 - Releasing gravity-affected blocks over things like torches or sappling ...
3- Pushing with a piston (any part of the sugar cane, wheat, dragon egg, cacti?)
Water as mentioned will remove torches, redstone, rails and plants, but it sounds like you want to do more than that. Without mods, no there is no way to break blocks without you actively using a tool to do so.

my style of breaking blocks more fast is puting all setting in max (also record with Fraps) and it will break 3 blocks per click but the problem is LAG.

I recently accidently created a way to break block using pistons but i have not been able to recreate it. I will get back to you though

Make a creeper go boom?
Same as setting off a dynamite.

Oh my god, we have the same avatar except yours is better made!

Not exactly, since the creeper's explosion is only 75% that of the power of TNT, and creepers are a much dangerous approach to destroying blocks.
