That is the painterly pack, the most overused texture pack know to Minecraft, besides default.
Also, like stated earlier, just add all the ones that are reasonable and the ones the people want. Make the longer ones in spoilers so that they don't take up loads of room and turn your post into a wall of text.
Is it ok that I murdered my Caveman Squiddies in my 1.0.0 game? I didn't want them trampling the crops.

I would post an idea right now but I am not on my comp. I am on my i-pad.

I beat two super hostile maps, see of flame 2 and spellbound, have to finish more. Plan to do inferno mines for lulz and win when it goes out. Have fun!
^ I'll probably do those caravan challenges later on. Hopefully you can think of a reward so that it gets in the OP..
This is an amazing challenge. I was drawn in very quickly. The only thing is, I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to fighting... I usually play on peaceful :biggrin.gif: And then, while doing the challenge for Stage 0, I got blown up less than 20 seconds after sundown... That just about killed it, lol. I love the creative aspect of this challenge, though. I may or may not have cheated materials in for my compound... I had TooManyItems installed anyway, and... Well, you get the picture :biggrin.gif: I'll post pics in a bit, I'm still adding some things. I've only done the quarters, warehouse, and meeting hall so far. I might not be fighting, but I'm still doing the building in stages (:
I may have gotten slightly carried away, and I went ahead and built the watchtower :biggrin.gif:
I also did not put many windows, except high up in the meeting hall. I like windows, so it's a bit strange, but I think it gives the whole building a more "fortress-y" feel.
Now pictures!
A view of the whole compound (so far). Main foyer is under the tower, meeting hall is on the right, warehouse on the left, and my bedroom is in the back.
I wondered what it would look like with lava on top. Quickly realized it was a bad idea, then I thought it would be good to pour water on the whole thing. Foresight? I lack it :biggrin.gif:
Meeting room (unintentionally looks like a church)
Warehouse
Quarters. A bit bare, IMO, but I couldn't think of anything else to add.
Main "foyer." This is supposed to be a stairway leading up the tower, but no matter what I tried, it looked horrible. Due to several renovations in the future. Any suggestions?
My village, view courtesy of the watchtower :3
Suggestions and [constructive] criticism is very, very welcome! I'll post pictures of the next stage when I'm done, if anyone wants.
Why was this forum bumped up? Aren't old forums not supposed to be bumped up. Anyways, this is a great challenge, and would be amazing if in the later versions, the villagers would actually give you quests to do, and DIALOG!

Now, it's time to go all out. Embellish your compound. Add walls, towers, traps, minefields... the whole nine yards. Don't forget to add...
A throne room: You've earned yourself a big chair. Make a nice, vaulting hall to sit in. Meeting rooms are for equals; you've earned a place of honor.
A treasury: Must be separate from your warehouse, and contain your valuables and trophies.
A monument of some sort: Maybe you can turn your courtyard into a beautiful garden. Like Obelisks? Build one. Make something to show off just how awesome you are.
Then wall it all in. This outer wall doesn't have to be as impressive as your inner one, but it should keep the mobs out. Once you've finished...
Final Mission: All's Well that Ends Well
A foreigner came to your village today. He told you he had been studying another dimension, one called "The End." He said that there is a portal that could bring you there in an ancient stronghold, but that the portal was in disrepair and would need something called Eyes of Ender to fix it. These Eyes of Ender could also lead you to the Stronghold itself. Once you were there, there would be a great beast protecting its egg. The egg would supposedly bring great luck to whoever slayed the beast. You tried to get him to tell you more, but he refused.
Find the stronghold, slay the beast, and take its egg back to the village. Protect the egg in its own fortified room somewhere in the compound.
Reward: All that experience. So much experience it hurts.

You can use: Everything. 'Nuff said.
