So I have a survival world that I don't play on anymore, and my little brother wants it, so if I copy it and put in his saves .minecraft folder (via USB) will he get the world?
Second: Since there's already a few snapshots out and he's playing in 1.7.5, if he upgrades to the snapshot will it be fine?
Thanks for any help!
Make sure you have a backup for the world just in case it gets corrupted when your brother plays it in the snapshots or something happens to the world and he can't fix it.

To make a backup, do I just make a new folder with the saves folder inside it?
So I gave him the world, and I noticed that the Enderman farm I built and the blaze farm aren't there? (The whole end and nether is reset) When I put it in, it said that the file was to long but he still got the world. everything is still there except in the end and the nether. Any ideas? Should I just get a bigger flash drive and transfer it?
Do you mean Minecraft said it was too long, or your computer?
If Minecraft gave the error, then it's probably more technical. Getting a bigger flash drive won't work unless you can't put the file into it in the first place.
it must be converted by the minecraft, so some of the dimension will be reset, the only way to fix it is using the same version as you did
The last one it was in was 1.7.2, so use that when I transfer?
Also I'm confused with the backups. Don't I just copy the saves file into a different folder then if I want to load the backup delete the saves folder in the .minecraft and paste the backup in there? I keep getting complicated responses :L
Go into saves, find the world you want, and copy it into another folder. If you mess up your world, simply delete the original and move the backup back into the saves folder.

Yes, otherwise, it just happen again
you can backup your world by copying it, if the other one is gets corrupted or deleted, simply just copy the other one, but don't use the one you copy!, or else, it will be changed
Hmm. everytime I try to paste the folder into his saves file it says "The application is invalid or too long" and when I cancel the worlds still there, but then when I try to delete it off the USB it says the same thing? So I tried to re paste it again, and it reset everything besides the inventory.

Have you tried emailing the world to your brother? I done it with a friend once and it worked just fine.

2. Yes, but maybe will have some bugs.
Bugs like from the snapshot? Or bugs in your world that are uncommon?
