item <ITEMCODE|ITEMNAME> [QUANTITY] [DAMAGE]

you cant edit the mob inside you need a different mod unless he changed it.

All the above are overcomplicated.
Look at a block
Type /spawner creeper (for example)
The block you were looking at is now a creeper spawner.

by "look at a block" do you mean hold it in your hand or actually look at is when its placed? and the mob IDs are on the wiki right, just incase typing "creeper" doesn't work?


Hey... I just tried both you guys things and none worked. Says that "/spawner" isnt a proper command.

ive got minecraft 1.5.2, by the way... no mods, nothing..?

To change the mob, hold it and type /spawner [mod ID]

That requires the SPC mod.

/Spawner doesn't work it says the command is not found

to give your self a mob spawner do this. example: /give land_crabs mob_spawner 1 once you entered it, it will give you a mob spawner just replace land_crabs with your ign

try doing /give <name> 52 1

/setblock ~ ~1 ~ minecraft:mob_spawner 0 replace {EntityId:Zombie}

You can change to mob in section where it says "Zombie"

Do /give [PlayerName] minecraft:mob_spawner than click it with a spawn egg of the mob that you want.

Try /setblock ~ ~1 ~ minecraft:mob_spawner 0 replace {Entityid:villager_golem}

This code works, sheesh took me a while to find one that would work thank you!

just type /give (ur name or the @'s) minecraft:mob_spawner. and u have it to change mob inside get a spawn egg and right click on mob spawner I hope I helped

the fullstop is not needed

Im on 1.5.2 and tried all the above examples and nothing worked :steve_tearful::unsure:
