Everything in Minecraft has some sort of purpose, weither it's for a tool or a decoration. However; I think Gravel is my least favorite item because it falls and it gets in the way of building underground tunnels, strongholds, etc. You can't mine it when it's falling. Unless you work from the top to the bottom, it takes longer to mine gravel. I would say the same for sand , but it doesn't show up as often underground as gravel does.
... Everyone knows you can get cobble without any pickaxe whatsoever.
Creeper explosion.
Air is useless, monsters would still spawn, fire could still exist, Steve would not suffocate, Crops would still grow.
You can spawn monsters in an area with no air, an example is the enderdragon, it spawns in mid-air. Fire in minecraft doesn't need air. Steve can swim in lava and not drown, and he can get his head stuck in glowstone or TNT and not suffocate, Also the player can go under the map and not suffocate, and there are no air blocks under the map. And crops would still grow because they don't require air.
well i can do //set 0 with world guard and remove so much, so usefull just for tthat reasson
since tstificate trades are horrble id say emerald sucks u cant even make emerald tool! and gold that crap breaks so easy
50th post woot!
First, Get Grammar, Second, Emerald is very useful. Testificates can trade VERY good items.
No Butter? How is gold useless? What about Golden Apples? Butter has to stay. Bottom line.
Dead brush and ferns. There are other decorative blocks like these too that don't have a real use other than decoration. Oh and by the way, sponge can be used if you're in creative and you're trying to make an underwater build, since it actually does work like a sponge and will destroy the water blocks surrounding it, to a limit of course.
Sponge > Dead Bush > Dragon Egg.
Nothing tops the Sponge.
It looks awful, does nothing and you can't even get it in Survival mode, and in Creative mode it's just ugly, so no use for building even.
The Dead Bush is to make deserts more believable, it has pretty much the same use as flowers.
The Dragon Egg is a reward and is really awesome looking.
I think that the most useless item would for sure be the golden sword or the golden hoe. Most golden tools are there to have high efficiency but low durability, while the golden hoe and the golden sword are as bad as wooden materials and have worse durability.
Every single block in Minecraft is useful. Sponge to clear water and once, it was a big thing in pixel art because there was no yellow wool.
Poisonus potatoes provide a balance because cooked potatoe is kinds op plus you can get tricked to eat one.
Dead bush will actually give make deserts actually feel like deserts.
Gold for them multiplayer pvp like hunger games and also for gold apples.
Dragon egg as a reward and decoration. If it'd useless why are there paintings.
Gravel for flint and steel, I mean how else are you going to get to the nether. Also some redstone contraptions use gravel.
If you think in different ways and perspectives, then you will know that everything block is useful.
It would have to be Chain Armor. The only way to get it in Survival is trading with villagers. Iron Armor is way easier to obtain, and it has more durability and protection. The only use I can think of is style and in the Survival Games. Otherwise, its just useless.
Definitely agree with many that the most useless overall is the dead grass. It's just there for looks. For me personally, the next most useless is redstone. I never have any real reason to make anything that uses it. Maybe some day I'll think of things to do with it, but I'm just really boring. I do at least have some use for it now, with Redstone Blocks. I use a custom Painterly texture pack, and all my ore blocks look like purple obsidian with somethig space-themed set into them. Redstone is a comet, emerald is stars, lapis is a planet, etc. Going to use them to make my magic room.
Not necessarily. I've used it as scaffolding before. You use it to get yourself up somewhere high then dig it out with a shovel on the way down and getting shale in the process. And if you end up on the ground before you dig it out you can remove it from the bottom.
I think we can agree that there are several items in the game that hardly serve a purpose or we just don't use. As many others have said, I must agree that the dead bush is probably the most useless item. Secondly I think that milk is quite useless as well. Sure you can stop potions, but when you actually get hit by a potion do you have milk with you? Most of the time not and it just takes up inventory space. So theres my opinion.
2.Lapis lazuli[i think I spelled that right...]
3. Sponges
4.Gold
5.diamond hoe
Dead Bush - Ugly, no use
Locked chest - Ugly, no use, unobtainable
Snowballs - Useless, hard to hit blaze/enderdragon
Splash Thick Potion - No effect, no recipes
Melon Seeds - Once you get a big farm, no need for more
Pumpkin Seeds - same as melon seeds
Fireworks - No use, just for a show
Ice - No common use, annoying
Lily Pad - Good for farms, but otherwise, no use
A squid! KILL IT!
A squid! KILL IT!
And I use Rei's Minimap/Voxel Map, so the in game maps are useless to me.

Gravel can be used for flint farms.
Eating. I enjoy eating a good poisonous potato or spider eye every once in a while.

Gold tools you can still use.....
