Yes, that's me.
And no, I'm not hating anything, I'm providing honest feedback; it was a good experiment, and it could be refined to be useful in niche situations, but that particular product is practically useless for obvious reasons.
I may be failing to express myself properly, but what I just said is all I meant to say in those other comments.
I have another thing to show you guys. Its basically an attempt for a feature heavy practical cannon as town defence/town-town bombardment cannon! I would like to hear from you guys either positively or negatively in order to for me to have some points for imporvement
SC-06 "San Tou Long" (Three Headed Dragon) Advanced Automatic Multi-Directional Cannon System
features:
-21x21x25 in size
-96T max charge
-60T max projectiles
>60 TNT over 270 degrees around the cannon
----- This is not just 3 fixed directions, but an ARC that spans 3 directions!
>96T full power/sandless 6x16T semi auto charge
----- I watched some tutorials in youtube and came across instawire and sequential counters. I found them darn useful when triggering things sequentially whilst saving space, so I designed and compacted a vertical sequential counter and wired it to the TNT charges.
----- full power gives you a up to 450+ block range, semi gives you up to 100 block range
>Variable Timer
----- Timer is placed just beside the triggering buttons, layed out in a rather wire-free manner
>Ammo count indicator
----- Look up over to the left of the timer and you'd see colored wool. if you see a red wool, it means you have a single semi shot left
>Easy system check
----- Redstone torches enables the user to check the cannon for any malfunctions before use
DISADVANTAGES:
-manual and external projectile reloading
-must trigger all TNT in order to reload
-retardedly big
Can some1 show me a deisgn for a long range accurate tnt cannon that explodes and destroys in water? I play on a faction server and I need a better one than the one I have.

That um, isn't possible.
TNT doesn't destroy anything if it's in water, if the explosion rays travel through water they lose the destructive property.

not true. On FeaR pvp we use a thing caleld a hybrid cannon. It is a sand and tnt cannon combined into one. The hardest part is getting distance with it but let me explain.
The basic idea of how it works is that you shoot a sand block with a tnt block. The tnt goes inside the sand block which makes the tnt act like there is no water around it. It explodes and does damage in water.
Alright fair enough, I hadn't considered that; I thought about sand when making that reply but I didn't think about such a creative use of it.
Very clever, very clever indeed.

HumanVegetible your post title is misleading it implies that your cannon design would breach a waterwall.
As it was I was anticipating a more practical design than your last submission.
An interesting concept but as shown in your video highly impractical and unreliable, besides on most Hardcore PvP servers where you would need the use of such a cannon people construct lavawalled, obsidan roofed bases from bedrock to skylimit.
(admittedly that is now twice as hard as it was before 1.2) thus the idea of "shooting over" is not useable most of the time.
totera9 the sand cannon is a most interesting idea which I hadn't heard of before the only thing I can suggest for a longer range would be a multi front fuel cannon design (as well as the sand thing) with the priming of the shell being as late as possible. could you provide a link to a video demonstrating how to set up this waterproof sand cannon concept?

Hmmm... I made a TNT/sand hybrid cannon from scratch that has about a 100 meter range. Is that what you need or do you need a longer range?

In the Alpha thread, there was a long-lasting topic called "Noobcake Labs (cannon science)" where Minecraft TNT Cannons were discovered and experimented with. While that thread had long history and information, I do not find any similar thread in the new "Beta - Survival Mode" topics.
I would like to make this thread as a hub for other Cannoneers to display and share their works for the advancement of Minecraft Cannon technology.
Now, I feel kinda bad that I cannot provide any decent information about a "Basic Minecraft Cannon" (you can YouTube it and literally pull thousands of results) as a First Post to softly introduce newbie Cannoneers to our projects.
So I will borrow a video made by YouTube user: Darkthero
to display how a Basic Minecraft Cannon works.
Experienced and Non-Experienced players have done their research and decided to make their own cannons, taking it to the next level beyond the "Basic Cannon" like posted above.

feel free to ask me on how you use this thing, I know its confusing for one to just jump in and use it...

Woah, i need to step up my cannons, this thing is a beast, my mind was just blown.
The main fault i see, at least in my eyes, is there is no safety system incase of misloading, but other than that... this is the best cannon i've ever see.
Hi guys, I just found this awesome discussion recently. Anyway, in my tnt cannon development, I have managed to create a rapid-fire tnt cannon with a refire rate of 60 blocks/minute. Would be useful or has this been done before?

It does stretch the definition of a single barrel, but it is only one cannon. This one is still in the prototyping stage, and the height is yet to be optimised.
I made a traditional TnT cannon, but since i have the more explosives mod, i replaced the TnT with C4 and the projectile with cluster bombs and lava bombs
