I had a nooooo moment today actually. I was playing minecraft during my lunch break at work and then the VP stopped by. I had to minimize my game and I had an earbud in my ear so I could hear what was going on. I heard monsters close by so I just closed the window out thinking it would just pick up where I left off. When I came back in my world, I wad in the previous location from earlier in the day. I thought I lost everything but my most recent structures were outside and I had a few various other things that I did just before closing the program. However, it turned out I lost half of my diamond enchanted items, most of the food I collected and half a chest of stone brick I had created from cobblestone. I was missing about 300 pieces of Redstone dust, all the gold and diamonds I had collected this morning and numerous other items.
On the bright side I had all the arrows I created earlier.
Back in alpha when I was a noob I was tired of my house being blown up by creepers or me having to break through the back wall because zombies, skeletons and spiders were waiting for me at my front door, then i had an idea to stop the attacks right when mobs started to burn I went down into my mine and got as much lava as possible...And I made a moat around my nice little wooden house, the moat was quickly filled with the lava I gathered, as night fell. I thought for sure my lava moat around a wooden house would keep those pesky mobs away. I was looking out my window at the all the mobs laughing to myself. I then caught on fire and turned around to see my house was burning. I had no time to act as a quickly died from the fire. when I respawned it was the middle of the night I ran as fast as my minecraft character could go over a small mountian to the nice valley where my house was, to see it a blaze I quickly tried to run inside to save all my stuff frommy house but I didnt realise that I attracted mobs when I ran through the world in the middle of the night, I found a way in my burning house and found out that a creeper did to :/ I started grabing the most valuable items in my chest and then I heard the soft sound of sssssSSSSSSsssssSSssss and I blew up and my chest did to and all the Item I had and the items in the chest caught on fire and burned. The only thing I could do then was say ****.
I had a perfect spawn: Pyramid, NPC village, 3 biomes (forest, desert, ice plains). Created a base with a full farm/ranch. Only critter I didn't have was cats. Farm had everything including melons thanks to a nice villager. Open-air obsidian mine nearby. In short, I had everything needed to kick some.
The PC then hard locks. I get back in and my save is missing. I fire up ntbexplorer and find my level.dat is corrupt. I have nothing, not even the seed number. :fistshake:

Battle not with creepers, lest ye become a creeper, and if you gaze into the ravine, the ravine gazes also into you.
I had a multiplayer server that had grief pervention and commands like /trapped, and i was in the nether. The portal was funked up and it kept teleporting me into someones house that was completely blocked off. I typed in /trapped and BOOOM! im above the nether's bedrock level.
Mine is whe I was playing on a survival server one time and I was splunking. I saw a horde of creepers coming at me. I backed up, like any other person would. Suddenly, I find myself in a lava pit that was behind me as I was backing up. I had full diamond armor, two diamond sword, two diamond picks, loads of iron ones, and some ores and coal......"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
What was your worst "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" moment?
I once walked into lava accidentally while wearing Iron armor and was able to swim out safe and sound...
But for me, it was being shot into a lava pit by a skele while wearing iron and then continuously being shot without a chance to swim out

I built a redstone calculator, and I had the idea to destroy an excess component with TNT. I'm sure you can guess what happened. I was raging for an hour, until I remembered that I always keep backups.
Im shaft mining at layer 10 then I suddenly find some diamonds! But then lava above and below it burn the diamonds , even worse is that after the diamonds are burning a skeleton comes and shoots me into the lava.
I built a mob trap using water by my house. I didn't realize until after finishing that the trap wouldn't work since I needed water in a dark space and I was in an ice biome. *Facepalm*.
Welp, today I left minecraft on for several hours, went back to play it and tried to go into the nether, it wasn't loading so I closed it, my world restarted. I was very far and had spent a lot of time in the world...
its was my first time finding diamonds i had already found 2 diamonds when i found a cave with 4 more on the floor along with a zombie spawner across the room so i got the diamonds and started heading towards the spawner when i jumped over the chest blocking the entrance i fell straight down into a pool of lava >.> which was in a seprate cave below
I killed the enderdragon and got to level 105 or something. I went to go enchant stuff but a creeper somehow got into my house and and exploded next to me as I was walking to my enchanting room. I didn't die from the explosion because of my diamond armor but it was the worst time for me to be in a room that has lava lit floors.
Needless to say, I lost everything.

The fact that cats go bark is scientifically unproven to be 100% false.
I've beatin the EnderDragon many times on my world, (I used SPC to spawn them in, So, I just kept re-fighting them!) I got a saddle. And I got my Dragon Egg, And I rode on it. I battled the Enderdragon like that! The thing is thou, I was running low with my food bar, So I dove under the island, And figured I'd take a snack break.
The click signaled to put the dragon back in his egg and for us to fall into the void, For some reason I couldn't escape, I must a been out in the void, Ended up dying, I lost Diamond Armor (Enchanted), Diamond tools (Enchanted), A super powerful enchanted bow, 100 levels, And a Dragon Egg...

Just place a block over the water! (Doesn't matter how high the block is, It won't freeze.
Here comes the famous one. I had just found my first diamonds, but I was quite a noob so I tried to dig them up with a wood pick. No more explanation is nesacary.

As said; one does not simply become to old for pokemon, or minecraft.
My worst NOOOO moment was when my first world, from when I joined in 1.6.6, got corrupted in 1.8. I guess that might be because I had recently used the glitch that lets you duplicate any item you want and maybe that caused my world to corrupt? But my spawn point became a weird glitchy mountain that kept suffocating me. It lagged uncontrollably and I discovered that the only thing I could do is delete my file. This was when I was still a bit of a noob and had no idea that I should've been backing up my world from time to time.
When I created that world, I didn't even use a seed so I can't even try to recreate that world :/
When I overwrote my alpha sounds from my old linux drive. If I ever lose the jar (1.2.3_04), or Mojang disables those updates in the same way as the old launcher (that was my least favorite change in Minecraft ever. The white/orange logo is a close second but that's neither here nor there), I would likely stop playing for a while, and come back around 1.5 or 6. Nothing too crazy.

So, I have this survival world with a 16x18 two storey house, full Iron Armor and Diamond Tools. I upgraded to one of the earlier 1.3 snapshots, but then downgraded because I found it boring. When I played my world, I found myself at my original spawn point (which is something like 200 blocks from my house) with my inventory wiped.
OUch, these are all making me cringe inside. Especially the ones where you get an entire world corrupted and it's an awesome world and you didn't get the seed.
That happened with my very first Alpha world, btw. I might have been able to save it if I'd known about NBTEdit. But I had only been playing for a week, and din't know nuffin'.
On the bright side I had all the arrows I created earlier.
Not sure if the wolf was being heroic or if it was just plain stupid.
That probably taught him not too make an incinerator.
