I awoke in the village by the knock on the door. Groggy I move from my bed and answer the door. There stood the three elders, Father Burke, Scholar Annis, and Red the Smith with angry looks on their faces. They proceeded to drag me into the town chapel where the rest of the village was waiting. In front of them all the Elders declared my crime, I had attacked Red's son, Jed. I claimed self defense but it did matter, Father Burke and Scholar Annis declared I was to be cursed with sun and moon light sickness and banished underground.
Once the curse was cast I was released and told I had till sundown for the effect to begin. I hurried home and began packing the few items I had. From there I went to the village farms and harvested several crops, then collected some wood and saplings. Then I proceeded to the town library and took some books and a map. Then went and robbed Jed's personal chest, for he didn't deserve it since he attacked me first.
The need to be under the ground became great as the sun began to sink beneath the horizon. I stepped outside the village limits and began to dig down. Once I was far enough down, I deal myself in and the anxiety went down, but not enough. I continued to dog down in a stair fashion, like the old village miner, Fick, told us to always do during his training week at the village school. Down and down I went, when I broke into a cave with an underground lake. Looking longingly at it I knew I still wasn't deep enough, so I continued my digging. Finally I reach the level were my anxiety ceased.
At peace, mostly, I began to dig me a room. As I expand to simple square area I placed my bed, chest, workstation, and finally a forge so I could make better tools, from the iron I had found. Exhausted, I decided to try and sleep, and was lucky enough to achieve it.
I awoke and broke my fast, the continued to expand my room when low and behold I found DIAMONDS! I could not believe my luck. I harvested them carefully, then place them in my chest. I would figure out how to use them another day, for now I needed to get enough space to attempt gardening and growing trees.
Once I cleared what I hope is enough space I build me a simple garden with torch lights, planting potatoes, carrots, beets, wheat, pumpkins, then a few birch saplings.
I set back admiring my work. Slowly I'm making this home...
So I came up with this ideal after reading other challenges. I'll welcome any feed back and hopefully once I figure out how to take screenshots, I'll post pictures of the adventure as I go.
