Just as they were giving me awesome new additions for my trade depot, they stopped. I tried trading with them, a lot. But the farmer won't pick up the food and the other guy is just sitting there. It is an infinite breeding farm so I don't think my trade depot has anything to do with it since I got a lot of villagers there. They are far away as well. The village in the door room which simulates a village is still there alive and well and he is going all out on those doors, opening and closing them constantly!
I haven't built anything, no doors no farms nothing. I don't see a reason to just randomly stop.
Na it's a potato land. He is planting but not picking up the potato when its full grown.... I think it has something to do with killing villagers when they are close to the village. In the minecraft wiki it says that killing a villager or being in 16 block radius around him when he dies to whatever cause will stop breeding in the village for about 3 minutes. I don't know if "stop breeding" means "stop picking up the produce". I just throw him stacks for potatoes that I have harvested for him and he plants them. But he doesn't pick up the ones that are full grown... I guess im just gonna have to swap out the villagers inside somehow.
The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
make sure you have enought wooden doors , no villages nearby and enought food for the villagers.
try to kill them in a diferent place because it stops the villagers breed
i made a small place where i push them out manually and send them to a place with deep water 50 blocks away where they die in peace not scaring the other villagers with their ghosts and keeping them from breeding XD
Yea I know the basic idea of breeding that's why I couldn't figure out why they weren't Okay so what will happen if I shove a cleric and a butcher with one farmer in the room? Cuzz right now the farmer is farming only 4-5 blocks and the rest are fully grown he isn't touching them. So I was thinking I could get more villagers faster and make use of the farm to its full potential for its size.
I push them down a lake but I liked to watch them die so I guess that was a problem... Now i moved the trade center with about 110 blocks and now it kind of works. Just that they arent picking up most of the food
Or if I leave 2 farmers? Cuzz they just gave birth to a farmer and he is going all out on them potatoes.
