Hello everyone! I joined the forum because of a peculiar scene. I have gotten back into minecraft just to see how it is in 2017. Started up a new survival world and have progressed half way through the game.( I am also a bit hooked)
Now to the exciting part! I came across an enderman, I only fight them when i'm in the water. The enderman chased me down and got into my boat, it was then no longer teleporting, and after sometime was no longer aggressive towards me(mouth closed). I quickly got one of my two name tags to name it.
The enderman does not teleport away, even after I have traveled a great distance, and been through the nether. It does not get aggressive when I look at It, though saving and loading the world back up, then coming back to look at it, will cause it to get aggressive but will not teleport out of the boat, and after a minute it is no longer aggressive. It does attempt to teleport, I am able to hear the spoofing sound effect but he does not actually teleport.
I am also unable to move the boat the enderman is in.
It also only faces in one direction which is it's right.
There is a bug where Enderman who were attacking you can become passive (it usually happens as the sun comes up) and will follow you around by teleporting near to where you are, and won't become aggressive if you look at them (as I recall they do seem to teleport away if you look at them in this state, but they do come back again). They usually become aggressive again when you reload the game. It seems this has happened to your Enderman, and name tagging him will stop him despawning. I had a similar situation where I named my Enderman*, but when I reloaded the game he was instantly aggressive and I had to kill him. But because yours is in a boat, and I don't think mobs cant exit a boat unless its destroyed, I guess your Enderman is trapped, and will stay there forever unless you destroy the boat or is killed. I am curious to know what he would do if it rained ...
