Within my first twenty minutes of buying Minecraft, I had already died due to not knowing how to swim. I also made the floor of my noob cobble-box TNT to make it creeper-proof. I still have that world. Most of the stuff I have in it is horrible, but, you know, memories...
Aye, I rember when I was a noob. *Moistens inside of mouth*. I now know that getting wood is more important than exploring, which is useful, even in hardcore.
My first successful house. Still have this world, still live in this house. Granted, its got about 8 floors now, and its completely separate from the main land complete with a lava moat
Also, I remember my noob days. To be honest, I think I only came out of my noob phase just a few months ago. Before then, I had no good building skills.
I have a pretty horrendously nooby story. I started with no information on the game whatsoever than "Hey do you play Minecraft?" "No, but I've seen it in the YouTube "Related videos" section" and then I ended up downloading it. So I started on a Creative world because Survival sounded really, really scary. I didn't know you could fly, and I did, of course, believe that the inventory paused the game. So I ended up talking on a chat with my friend who told me about the game, with the inventory out, and when I came back, it was night. I had spawned on a tiny swamp island with some chickens, so I went swimming for some more land to build on. Anyway, I found a larger island, and spotted some zombies in the distance. I sniped them with my bow while maintaining a good distance, even though there was no reason to. Then I saw a creeper just over a small hill, and I sniped it as well, thinking it was an evil mushroom man. I waited out in the ocean until morning, and then I wandered a while, built some random Snow Golems, began on houses and then changed my mind and wandered more, then I built a tower to view my surroundings and spotted a village, so I ran for it, and began to build my house next to it. And that's where I live now. Also, at one point, I dug a hole straight down (before I knew you could fly), and then I noticed I couldn't get out. So I started staircasing up, but then I ran into a cave, and got scared, and then I didn't know what to do. I forgot how I got out of that.
I got a Golden Sword, I went to the night thinking: IM GOING TO MURDER EVERYONE BHAAHAHHAHAHA * AFTER 33 HITS * WHAT? WHAT HAPPENED? WHERES MY SWORD? OMG! Tsss *BOOM*
The end.
Back when I started it took me days to learn how to craft, that I had to hold down LMB to break blocks, and that RMB placed blocks. That was in 1.3. I still miss that old terrain generator.
):
Deleting my world every single time I died (had nothing valuable, only wood and cobble).

A Newcomer to commentating. Mine aren't top notch yet, but I think I do a pretty good jeb. Sometimes my vides are jonk and a carn fest. My name isn't Kris or Marc IRL, it's Top Secret. I had a few YT accounts b4, but they were junk. That is all.
I remember when I was just starting to learn how to play in 1.7.3 and 1.0.0 came out....
I built my first home into a mountain, then got out the door to get some flowers, and an Enderman came out of nowhere and instantly killed me.
And whenever I tried to go back out for my stuff, the same Enderman would always jump me.
My first ragequit ever.....those were the days.
Yeah I remember it well. Spawned in a swamp, found mushrooms. Collects mushrooms until nightfall, realizes it's not gonna help me survive jack because I didn't pick up any wood...
-I could not figure out how to swim.
-I got lost.......a lot....
-I got killed.....a lot....
-I was too scared to venture deep into mines
-Creepers blew up my stuff a lot.................okay so they still do this....
-And I was really proud of my cave house!!.......that was mostly dirt...
In mid Alpha I joined and it was right before the first halloween update with the nether. Everyone thought the portal had to be a square (LOL). I made a cobble house and lived right next to a frozen lake. It was awesome not having reliable sources to learn and having to figure it out. At that time I didn't know modding existed and I just lived with what was given to me. It was the best
My first nooby act was when I decided to go all badass style and continue to build my house at night; But because I had forgotten my sword it didn't end so well with two creepers coming along and blowing me up.
This was back in Alpha just after the first halloween update If I'm correct.

You might benefit from checking the links on this Reddit thread: The Gigantic Guide for Building. It helped me a lot.
