So, I have found some "secret" potions in Minecraft Version 1.2.5. These currently do nothing and have the same sprite as a water bottle.
I found out one of them by accident, so I decided to change the item damage value up by one every time for and see how many I could discover.
There are 17 so far that I know of:
Diffuse Potion:
Item ID: 373:75
Artless Potion:
Item ID: 373:77
Thin Potion:
Item ID: 373:78
Bungling Potion:

Smooth Potion:

Suave Potion:

Debonair Potion:
Item ID: 373:94
Charming Potion:
Item ID: 373:102
Refined Potion

Gross Potion:
Item ID: 373:125
Stinky Potion:

And Finally, Clear Potion:

Those are all 17 of them, when I try to go higher it just loops around and gives me a Diffuse Potion.
Sorry for the block of text, too
Ok, I would really like to see you make up some uses for those potions, make them good too. Send them to Jeb, see what happens. Also, make a forum thread for your ideas if you chose to accept, I want to stay up-to-date. That's my challenge for you.

Challenge.... ACCEPTED! (But I'm not sending them to Jeb...I think he will have better plans for them)
Yep, these potions are on the "maybe planned" list of potions. Just go under potions on minecraftwiki.com and search potions. All of these will come up. Anyway, Jeb might implement SOME of these potions.
Glitch or effect, idk, but on my friends server we spawned in a clear potion, my friend drank it, and he became invisible... a few minutes later the server crashed. Maybe effects work on multiplayer?

How did you even find this topic?

Although Jeb said that in the 1.9 pre-release 3 there were 161 possible different potion combinations with 2,653 in the future, in the actual third pre-release only 22 different potions could be made without the use of external programs. Of those, 19 potions had one of 8 different effects.

And also because it gives us an idea of how many varieties of potions that Jeb might implement into Minecraft.
Challenge....
ACCEPTED!

I don't know, if you think hard enough I think your ideas could possibly beat his.
These will probably have uses later on.
A bit late on that:
