I play on lowest settings with Simplecraft texture pack (it might/might not be speeding the game up, IDC either way) and I get maybe around 20-30 fps when it's smooth. When it starts getting laggy, which is about 30 percent of the time, I'd say it drops to about 1-5 fps. Yeah, I know, my computer's beast.
First if you want more fps (a bit obvious) turn all the settings (graphics) to low off or fast. Second (on topic) i do play on tiny on my old computer that i use for redstone testing (and on peaceful). stupid time limits being set on macs.
I only have an integrated card and no money to get a new one. -.- I get 10-12 FPS no mater what. I can't play half my worlds because when I generate them sometimes it lags too much(1-2 FPS). But for some reason I lag less when I play on far than when I play on tiny. But I sometimes DO have to.
That's because Tiny actually use more CPU on creating the fog.
Far, instead, doesn't create a fog, so you have a clearer view and it runs kinda faster
but not smoother tho.
m friend cantplay on anything higher on tiny, and then he gets only about 10-20 fps. i can handle the lag, BUT ON TINY? no my good sir no i can not. ive tried telling him to clean his comp up, but he wont have it
Bought a new computer some weeks ago (Intel i5 2500K, 8GB RAM) and get about 90-100 FPS with everything maxed out.
lol

If it's above 30 fps, it's not lag.
