So, enderdragon eggs are not as useless as dead bushes.
I'd argue that no items are useless because every item has a purpose for some people. The dragon egg isn't useless to me because I sometimes would build large shrines for it. I never use redstone but that doesn't mean it's useless becuase there are other people who really like to build redstone circuitry. And desert shrubs, they make for a more natural desert so I argue that it's not useless. That's just my take on this topic anyways.
I would have to say, pumpkins because they are totally useless to me. Although they can be worn (Which gives little armor, and limits your vision) to protect from Enderman and crafted into jack-o-lanterns, I never use jack-o-lanterns and Enderman are my buddies. Why use a whole block instead of a torch? I don't really build underwater anyways... To me, it's useless, although many people have already said, no block is useless because it can be decoration.

Jack-o-lanterns are actually brighter than torches. Plus, unlike glowstone blocks, you actually get them back when you destroy them, and unlike redstone lamps, they don't need any redstone current.
End stone has a higher blast resistance than almost every stone-based block, with a stunning 45 (as opposed to cobblestone's 30). I would think that dead bushes are more useless.
Golden hoe. Lowest duribility, Speed dosen't help because it only tills and its exspencive. Not to mention no enchantments, the only thing golds usefull for other than speed.

It's not in the game. Only the texture is.
Any item could be use as a replacement of the egg - and this doesn't render the egg a useful item, there's still no right/left click input that cause any type of output. It's ugly and cannot be used as decoration, and neither can a dead bush. So I guess both could be considered useless.

Actually, I find it useful for fixing minecraft generation errors, because sponge cause 5x5x5 block updates.

Not to mention it looks boss as hell
Dragon egg and dead bush have no practical use, and the powered minecart... come on... who uses one of those?
