Ok, so I've been noticing LOTS of weird chunk generations. The chunks just get cut off and it leaves a really untidy and unattractive look on the landscape.
This is really annoying and i might not play minecraft until it is fixed
You are currently playing the snapshop I assume, in the current snapshot, they changed something in biome generation, creating weird chunks like this.
It might be fixed with the official release of this snapshot.

It happens when you name a world the same name as another world (deleted or not).

This happens when you delete a world and create a new one with the same name. I suggest deleting worlds through your file browser rather than through the game.

Happened to me back when I was new, I tried to plug in my computer to a tv to run minecraft full screen and my video card couldnt handle it and crashed the computer. When I fired it back up my world was gone :(. I created a new world with same name and BAM it was all there.

This. But I love chunk errors. Sadly, I never get them, try as I might. I think Windows 7 might be to blame, my friend with an old XP machine gets them all the time.

They might be ugly, but they're FUN to play with!

I noticed. The cool thing was that the jungle temple chunk from my previous world was copied over to the next world.
Wait...what?
When you're on hard difficulty
Zombies can break doors...
