I am honestly surprised people read and respond to the long paragraphs I write here, so I figured I should bring up the next thing to ***** about:
Jungles
everyone is still posting seeds "HUGE JUNGLE BEST SEED 1.3.2"
you could go there right now and 60% of the seeds there are featuring the jungle biome
the only special thing about them is that they are new, other than that they are impractical and in my opinion the worst of the biomes, mainly cause my computer is a piece of **** and jungles make my framerate steadily drop and its too dense to be able to get creative even after chopping down all trees
but the reason they are impractical is the only thing you can really do is build a treehouse, the terrain is very rough and the lag doesn't help, you can't really establish a good base in a jungle because it's so dense and its just easy to get lost regardless of the map you can't really get as familiar with a jungle
as you could with any other biome
they are impractical for almost any building like if you want a nice home made of stone bricks and are a "looks only" biome in my opinion
I'm honestly tired of going to a "top 5 minecraft seeds" video and 4/5 of them are jungles and a desert village
the jungles are not very useful and not practical and i can see where someone would like a jungle, but everyone does because everyone does and they're new, not cause it's a good biome and it pisses me off.
one thing i like to do with jungles is chop down every tree or mc edit them out then plant pine trees, it makes a really nice looking biome and i call it an "evergreen" the only reason why I would think I made that word is the lovely green grass and the nice pine trees all around, but yeah just dumb words I make up in my head etc.
one thing i do love about jungles is that beautiful grass color they chose, every other grass color other than snow biomes is ugly and dull and personally i think terrain generation needs a whole overhaul again cause the current system doesn't work atleast for me, it is too patchy
you go to one patch that is a desert and another patch that is a swamp and another patch that is planes
if i have any suggestion to mojang it's that they make jungles much more rare and most likely to have a dungeon in them when they do spawn, that would make them alot cooler and worth posting a seed, but now every other ****ing world you create its a jungle so i really don't see ANY point in ANY of the jungle seeds posted here right now other than like ones with a temple or terrain glitch etc.
negative feedback to this will not be given a **** about or replied to and positive is open for discussion~ and for "negative" i mean the ****ing faggots who just post something saying "baww" or expressing that i'm simply "crying about it" when i'm really just making a point and hoping for the word to be gotten out, any INTELLIGENT discussion against my views is just as welcome as the ones agreeing.
I'm assuming by negative feedback, you mean people flaming because your opinion isn't theirs. I honestly like the jungle biomes if they don't have massive hills in them. The grass remind me of what the swamps looked like before they got the overlay and once you clear out a swath of the trees. (The 1 block ones are rather annoying, though ) and find a stronghold, you can make a nice mossy, cracked, and regular stone brick temple type home. (Or cobble, mossy cobble if you like that). So even though they can be annoying and they do slow down many computers, its hardly enough to flat-out say people shouldn't like them because you don't. Its an opinion, just like those people posting the best seed threads.
Um. Well... I guess people like jungles because they are interesting
and have so many more unique aspects within them. Such as Jungle wood,
vines, newly added cocoa beans, and they're fun to explore.
The only reason I hate them is because they drop my FPS rate down to 0-5 FPS (same with taigas, sadly)
Yeah, I know. I need a new GPU.

first poster made some good points while other bad points, i think that jungles are overused and way more popular than they should be not because people like them but because they're new, it's not an opinion its more of a statistic.

I don't build bases in the jungle but I like them for a few reasons:
- Good source of wood, vines and leaves
- Jungle temples - Decent loot
- Hidden caves. I've had to clear away shrubs to find the entrance to a cave.
- Ocelots!
If you're not intending to explore them, they are incredibly annoying to navigate through - but hey, so are real jungles
I use jungles for cattle farm land, just like they do in Brazil!
ohnoshedint....

i have to agree jungle biomes are anoying at times but as others stated they are a good source for wood and have temples with decent loot. even if you do not want the loot in the chest you can get some tripwires, string, dispenser, arrows and a piston out of it. if thats not enough you can aslo get mossy cobble in them.
i find it is easy to get lost in them but i like the feel and look of them. they dont drop my frame rates at all however i dont play on fancy mode so meh.
in my latest dual commentary i encountered a ocean biome next to a jungle beach. it looked amazing. the trees around it were big and gave a bit of an overhang. we plan to make a vacation home their
not to mention cookies are good as they require 2 wheat and 1 cocoa to make 8 cookies. cookies give 1 full food piece. so in other words you can make 10 cookies and fully feed your hunger bar. jungle is a great way to make cookies with cocoa.
Jungles are pretty annoying, for mostly the same reasons posted... Only thing I like about them is their very green color. But even that... Well, I tried clearing a space out to build a nice fort in, but between the huge, looming trees, rough terrain and ocelots spawning everywhere.... I sorta gave up on that one. It really isn't such a great biome. It could have been, but it ended up being such an unpleasant one instead. Typical MC addition.
Oh, and most tree houses built on jungle trees look hideous. .__.

eh i got lost in these replys and don't feel the effort to read them all maybe i will later~
the best point of what i did read was kosen, i like what he said about most mc additions
and i think everyone can agree that the grass color in jungles is lovely and its worth it to put alot of work into a jungle to make it into a pineforest, it's my next project i think so.
I like them, not so much to build in, but simply for the very easy to harvest wood. I'm not a big fan of the jungle logs, but I do like the red wood you get from them.
As for the other part of your dislike, people have different opinions. A vocal group just happen to greatly like jungles. Telling them not to do it is like telling Justin Bieber fans you hate him and never want to hear him on the radio ever again. No matter how much you want it (or I want it in the case of that last one..) it's not going to happen, they're still going to love it.

Suck it up and grow up kiddo. You're on a discussion forum, you're going to get the full range of replies. Just report the ones that are reportable and grow some thicker skin. I didn't think any part of your post was really crying about it till you got to that.

Do you have a lovely bunch of coconuts? Do you have them all standing in a row? Are there big ones, small ones, some as big as your head?
There really isn't any reason to rant about them.
If you hate them, don't go near them. If you spawn in them, just start a new world.
that's my point, if you spawn in one 1/2 times in creating a world, and if you do manage to not spawn in one then there is DEFINITELY going to be one nearby or atleast somewhere where they're HARD to stay away from. too common, i remember bitching about swamps when they came out for the exact same reason, now its more rare to find a swamp and they're actually pretty nice
mojang needs to not favor one biome over the other at any given time, they obviously did something with the coding to make jungles the dominant biome as they did with swamps in 1.8, it needs a drastic change.
but with the help of dinnerbone probably the best person to ever develop on minecraft i'm sure we have a brighter future with this game.

I spawn in Taiga biomes and forests all the time.
Ironic huh?
first poster made some good points while other bad points, i think that jungles are overused and way more popular than they should be not because people like them but because they're new, it's not an opinion its more of a statistic.
Not meaning to have a *****, but statistic based on what data? Did everyone who posted that they like the Jungle Biome mention that they only liked it because it was new?
Personally I quite like the jungle biome, it adds a great challenge when building for the project to look integrated and natural.

Jungles are awesome because it's impossible to run out of wood, because underground homes have even better natural protection, because there is always water nearby, because food is plentiful, because they're pretty, because ocelots, and because, in general, there are just more resources available to the player in a jungle than there are in other biomes.

So, b'aww - You're simply crying about it.
I like diversity, so I like Jungles.
