Not finished but it's good enough and has all the essentials to live in although I am tired of repeatedly ascending the ~40 block spiral staircase. I only have played on the world for 26 hours and died 3 times from the darn thing.
I obviously need to expand it but I lack ideas for rooms but I am already planning to build the following:
Farm for all crops inculding trees
Garden
Portal/brewing room
Workshop (furnace room/anvils/crafting tables)
Pool/fishing hole
Library
Gallery
Observatory
A bunch of themed mostly decorative rooms that's unnecessary to put here
The 1st one is the entrance. The 2nd one is the kind of the main room. Then, for the 3rd one, i plan on opening new room. The 4th one is my plant farm (Underground and is to the right of the 3rd picture). The 5th one is my animal sheep farm which is above ground. I need help improving please, i have started this world about a week ago.
Does one dug inside a mountain/underground count? At this point it's been developed and terraformed so much I could replace the dirt with something else and it may as well be an actual building. Some of the actual pictured buildings on top of the "mountain" aren't technically part of the base/house though.
Along with the front room for faster access, which I use more often, I decided to give myself a more proper "house" this time around. You can see part of the base below it, which it is connected to.
I'm not big on building a big house for me on MC. Instead I built a simple little cabin and it has two rooms and an attic. I feel comfortable with this house so I really don't care what anyone thinks. On the land I have that is fenced in is a stable for my horses and a greenhouse for my crops.
Wow. I like that cabin, Str8shot75! You're giving me some inspiration..

Stone brick and brown stained clay looks nice together. Also like the wooden pillars on the corner of the farm! Excellent work on the main room!

It does look good and big. However, can you take a screenshot without the texture pack real quick? I'm sorry I'm just used to the vanilla textures.

Sky builds are always hard to build aren't they? Looking good!

Sure, and nothing to be sorry for, although I've used this texture pack for almost as long as I've been playing this world, and I don't even play this world without this texture pack, so a lot of my build choices revolve around that. In other words, it's going to look rather off without it, and as two notable example, I probably wouldn't use Acacia wood as I did, and any "crates" will appear as random Pink wool blocks everywhere (I replaced Pink wool with a crate texture since I don't use it otherwise), so it might not look as good this way.
(Maybe I'll take some screenshots of my SMP house after I'm done remodeling. Maybe. It's far off, anyways.)
In my CMP world, I chose to avoid an actual house. Building a home to live in took a lot on me, as I kept wanting to one-up them. So for this world, along with how I'm in Hard and want extra challenge, most of my things are located outdoors, in the open.
Closest I really have is my new "Void Hole", a hole that goes into the void.
This picture is fairly outdated (all the bottom bedrock is gone, and glass is slowly taking over), but I've been gathering the new Terracotta blocks for the walls, and I feel rather lazy. I don't want to take a new screenshot.

Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.
Feel free to drop by for a chat whenever.
If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.

Nice! That would look better with a glass dome over it I'm just saying. How long did that take?

It took a good two hours to carve out the first few layers, and by that point I got extremely tired of mining. Since it's in my command block modpack world, I felt like giving myself max Haste and speeding it up. Yet it still took a good four weeks to finish.
Then came the issue of the bedrock. A module I made lets me eat a golden carrot and break (and collect) bedrock below me. After around a week of eating carrots, I finished the bottom layer.
Of course, my world messed up yesterday and I had to redo 10% of the bedrock removing. So I said, "No," and redid it in Creative.
To answer your question, I started it sometime in December. So around a month and a half, I'd say?
I'm not going to do a roof on the top. Partially because I want to have room to properly use my Extended Piston elevator, but mostly because I love the idea of gliding in with my Elytra.

Oh I'm not suggestion you put a roof on it I'm just saying if would like nicer if you did.
Here are some more screenshots of my cabin in another world, but what looks like more of a farm life. I used the garden style plus gravel to give the effect. By looking at the first pic, you'll feel the atmosphere what appears of a farm life even much so. Second pic, I zoomed out to see how I did it and getting this done took no more than a couple of hours and had to let the wheat grow which took some days to do.

Could you take screenshots more close to the cabin?
It's still the same cabin, just showing the same one in a different world with a land scape I created out in front of it. The cabin is very easy to build; the perimeter of the cabin is 8X12 blocks. You see it up close in my last post.
