-I've made a kiss ass home with walls surrounding it and a lava mote
-gone to the nether
-made at least 6 of every potion

Any help or suggestions?
If you install a mod like lets say BuildCraft in the middle of a game like yours.. will it work ? meaning will it spawn in your world things that you would need like oil for example ?
If the answer is yes.. then that would be my suggestion, I recently started a world with BuildCraft and IndustrialCraft installed, I got addicted all over again
And if those are not really your cup of tea, then check here:

When those nights when all hell breaks loose and creeper blows up your moat causing catastrophic events. This is where you will live when that happens.
With 10 blocks of every ore and emergency food, water and FIRE.Make sure you have turrets out in from of it(dispensers)make the entire room out of obsidian.make a nether portal in it in-case of a breach.Tell me if you decide!

Build a floating island. Floating islands are epic.
@Rado It wouldn't spawn in oil and other things in chunks that have been loaded before I believe, but new chunks that haven't been loaded before should have oil and all that other stuff.
thanks to all that have replied to this topic. the things i found to do are:
-replicate my house in the nether using only nether and end based blocks(including obsidian)
-make my mote only show at night using pistons to hide it on a testificate day/night detector at a nearby village
-i made a enderman spawner type deal for ender pearls to travel faster

That would be really cool, in other words you just have to travel to an area you haven`t been to to find the new stuff (oil, new ores and rubber tree etc) right ?

How about finding a village, securing it, then connect it to your home by rail.
That's what I'm doing in my game. Find villages, secure them and then make them large enough to be able to spawn golems (15 villagers) . Then make a railway between each village and your home castle/home/base.
Here is another idea for you, deposit all of your gear in chests in your base, then set the game to peaceful and run off in some random direction for a full day of game time. When the sun starts to come up again, set the game back to whatever level of difficulty that you play on, then basically start over. The rule is, you can't make a bed, if you die you will be sent back to your original base. It's a sort of hardcore way to play, but you get to keep your world when you die.
