So I just spent the better part of 30 minutes cleaning up a Testificate villiage, digging out doors, leveling roads, adding stairs etc. I don't mind I'd rather have variety in villiage design with random sillyness than cookie cutter villiages all over my world.
But I got to wondering.
What do you do with the villiages you come across?
Do you play handy man like me?
Do you Rape, Pilliage and Burn? Revelling in the lamentations of their women.
Scorched Earth policy them and Erase them off the map?
Do you turn it into a ghost town?
Or do you simply pass on through, loot chests, and forget about it.
I fix them up and move in. I build a wall around it, and eventually make defenses that I can turn on at night out of arrow dispensers/pressure plates

rig the entire village with explosive traps and pitholes and retire to a safe distance and enjoy the carnage that follows and the destruction that happens when zombie sieges happen.
Over 90 % of the human population is stupid (in my honest opinion). Don't expect too much from them when you post something that actually involves thought.
I recently decided to attempt to turn my only village in survival into a city, but my villagers keep dissapearing. When I first found it, there were quite a few villagers, but not enough for an iron golem. Left it for a long time, and when I came back, there were only 1-2 left, although I managed to find one trapped in his house thanks to the entrance being buried, and now only 1 remains(maybe 2, but I havent seen 2 in the same place...).
Don't know if it was fixed it, but I generally liked rigging their pressure plate tables with TNT, then waiting for them to set it off. One time I nuked a town of their's with /cannon TNT (via Singleplayer commands). Speaking of nukes, I should get that mod back and use a Nuke TNT on one of their villages. Oh, and I always loot their chests and sometimes put crappy stuff in it, like seeds, gravel, and rotten flesh.
"I don't plan to add a new dimension at the moment. It's just to performance heavy on servers, and the current dimensions need more attention before we start adding new ones." < Yeah, like biomes or actual varied terrain in the nether. Nether ruins didn't do the trick at all.

I do a mixture of all of those depending on what I need to do there. When I'm going to live there, I'll kill everyone and fix it up some, when I'm passing through I'll steal everything. When I'm mad about something I'll kill everyone, burn it, and blow it up.
When I find a village, I:
1. Look for a smithy and rob its chests, then release the
2. Find the library and take the bookshelves before they burn
3. Take the wheat from the farm
4. Blow up the rest with
OR
Do 1-3 above, then wait for nightfall and let the into the villager's houses.
I usually fix the place up, and add more buildings, walls, fix doors and roads, etc. and move in with them, but if I'm in a bad mood, creeper killed my diamonds, got eaten by zombies, etc., then I'll smash all their doors and watch the next siege.
and PartyPoison98, the villagers will move into a house, if it has walls, a roof, a floor, and a door.
wouldn't it be cool if say every two too three minecraft months zombie besieged you. maybe add a button to enable this in the create world screen also during this apoctolyptic time they have the ability to break walls and build somethings

In hardcore they can break wooden doors.
Anyway i build up there village and then trap them into a box forcing an iron golem to spawn into my trap MWAHHAHAHA
Sometimes I just pass through, maybe harvest a bit of wheat. Sometimes, though, I settle down in the village and build myself a house, and I'm hoping they eventualy make the vilagers more interactive and add something like merchants that you can buy stuff from with gold nuggets.

So yeah. Rape, pillage, and burn.
Creative- Spawn a whole bunch of zombies at night, burn houses down, and blow houses up.
Aftermath of Creative...
SpongeBob asks, "Patrick, did we just see Squidward running away from zombies?"
I said this. Two days later, my computer's motherboard melted down and I had to get a new one with Windows 8.
Irony in the first degree.

I am ninja'd far too often.
