Post some towers, this is one I just built, 1st tower on a new SSP game, not bad considering usually they wind up lopsided because I just build it chunk by chunk as I need more space. This one's empty at the moment though.
Changed the topic, everyone feel free to post some tower.
Its not very impressive to be honest being that I have actually created bigger towers in probably less time then it took you using a bucket of lava and water. Does it even self repair? cause if not then the tower isn't all that impressive. It looks like something a griefer wouldnt even waste its time on and would just pass up.

Says the guy who's sig says his color is white. Sounds pretty dark to me. Have a little compassion, it's not like he's proud of a real piece of crap, the tower has a lot of potential.

And this is in Survival?
Not bad, considering what I'm currently working on is a dullish 6-story house, with a Moss Stone-walled basement, Cobblestone-walled first floor, Basalt Cobblestone (RedPower 2 mod) walls on the second floor, Basalt-walls on the third floor, Basalt Brick-walls on the fourth floor, Stone Brick-walls on the fifth floor, Stone walls on the sixth floor, eventually a wooden roof of some description, and all the floors made out of Marble Brick (again, RedPower 2 added).
I suggest taking off the top two layers and putting one block in middle then on top of that put a fence post. Will give you a good needle effect.
Also might I suggest doing a large circular wall around the tower, I would do something like an 80X80 or even 100X100 diameter wall.
Well, like I said I'm pretty early in this game, this tower used most of my cobblestone, a wall is definitely in order though.
Looking the opposite direction off of the top of the tower though reveals that it's pretty close to 2 shore lines that stretch into ocean so maybe I'll make a Stormwind type of setup :3
It's a nice tower. Like the design, but it'll look better if it isn't built out of a single material.
Keep up the building by the way. :3
Yeah the single material is kind of an eyesore but I'm limited at the moment. I've done some reconstruction on my other towers just to keep it fraiche. It appears I'll have to update this one to win over the forum members. :3 Thanks for the *constructive* criticism.
More pictures! Ah, good, these show much more of it. It's a good start, keep up the good work! it could definitely be a center-piece for a town or small city.
Not really sure what else to add I kinda like it this way. I'll change up the bricks in the future probably, or maybe I'll just build a new tower in a similar fashion... only bigger....

The lava is a good touch in my opinion, adds a bit of much needed contrast. That, and I believe that lava and cobblestone are like bread and butter.
If I had to suggest a block to use in creating an accent for the cobble, it would have to be either stone-bricks, or stone blocks.

Villagers need to turn into zombies once killed by a zombie... March 24th 2012
Hmmm as much as I enjoy building and digging around lava... I think I might just create a larger structure at the base of the tower, out of bricks possibly. Maybe leave the top end cobblestone... hmm

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..

How do you get to the top?
@ Zapados, there's a ladder going straight up the middle, most of my survival towers have had stairs and I wanted to avoid that here.
Someone post up some towers!
