In Skyrim, there are many features that Minecraft has. If you play Skyrim, you know that there is practically limitless gameplay to do. Same with Minecraft.I myself have spent countless hours in Skyrim, I have full Daedric armor and can kill people when i want. So here we go.
The first thing that i noticed is the Notched Pickaxe. This is actually an Easter egg. This pickaxe can be found on the very top of the Throat of the World in which you can go there when you do the Parthunnax (whatever his name is) mission. Most people know this because this is a known Easter egg. Secondly, potions. There are many potions that you can make in Minecraft and Skyrim. Even the TES games made these before Minecraft, I think that mineceraft was heavily influenced to make potions. Also, Enchanting is another huge one. The very same language used to learn shouts in Skyrim, is used for the enchantment table. The something galactic alphabet. I think this is also another example of how TES influenced Minecraft after their little dispute. Not to mention you can enchant weapon in Minecraft and Skyrim. Some small ones are also the Open Worldiness of the game, practically limitless possibilities, caves to discover, ores to mine, etc. etc. Also you can take arrows to the knee (I know its annoying but i had to do it)ALSO, i wouldnt be surprised if the inter galactic alphabet descriptions in Minecraft of the Enchantments were the exact same as the Shouts in Skyrim. Well, if you think there is anything else mentioned that i havent said, say so in the comments *AND I KNOW THERE PROBAbLY IS*
I thought this had already been discussed in the proper section several times :s? So yeah, this has already been covered. But relating like this you could relate minecraft to many other games. In GTA you can steal cars. In Minecraft you can steal someones house.

Ah dude, a LOT of games have the same things? Diablo and Dungeon Siege to name another 2. So whats your point?

My point is that Minecraft and The Elder Scrolls had a court battle with eachother, and i was trying to show what they might have gotten off of eachother and that i think copyright was the reason they went to court
What made you think the Dragon Language and the made-up language for enchanting tables were the same thing? That doesn't make any sense. And the things you listed exist in lots of games. And they're obvious, you didn't really have to make a thread about it.

The language on the enchanting table is a real language.... google it bro

No it's not. It's from Commander Keen. Not from Skyrim. Not from real life.
The only thing in the OP that isn't completely incorrect is the Notched Pickaxe easter egg. That's it. and by the way, it's a great idea to go pick up because it's the only way to get a blacksmithing bonus on a weapon.
Just like other people have said, many games share similarities. One I would like to point out is the open worldness of minecraft you said. That is one of the main selling points for games with it. Games such as Fallout and Borderlands
The reason these games have some similar concepts is because that is the base standard for all RPG/Adventure games. You think potions are simply limited to Minecraft and Skyrim, and that the reason Minecraft has them is because of the older Elder Scrolls games? Think again, my friend.
Nobody undestands why i actually said this... I know there are more open world games, im just generally stating that Minecraft and Skyrim have some of the same features. I never said anything about these being unique to either of these games. I am just stating that theses two companies had a court battle and MAY have been influenced by each other to add some of the other games concept. Have a nice day :biggrin.gif:

I can't say this without sounding insulting, but it must be said: Look again, they look nothing alike, a blind person could tell them apart. You must think Arabic and Cyrillic are indistinguishable.
