I have always struggled to keep a minecraft world for more then a week mostly because what i am trying to do gets blurred out and i get board. I am starting this thread as a way to share my experience in This modded world of minecraft. Featuring 142 mods. Through sharing with you the Minecraft community I hope to keep this world alive for a long time.
I start my adventure using Seed (Biomes O'Plenty): 3577
(This was taken from the Hermitcraft community)
This was the spawn as you can see i was high up.
As night began to fall i had found the perfect place to setup my base/house
While waiting out the night I was able to come here and write up this post
I don't have you-tube, my computer cant play and record at the same time, and I take modpacks from Ftb and rip them apart and put what i like back together What i am using as my base pack now is Modsause 2 and infinity.
Dude I know just how you feel. I don't even think I have made a world that has lasted a week, due to getting bored and always wanting to try new mods. But dang, 142 mods is a LOT! The most I've ever had I think is about 70. I wouldn't ask you to list all the mods, but I'm curious as to some of the more important or bigger ones that you are using. I see you've got Tinkers Constructs, that's pretty game-changing. Any magic mods, tech mods, or mods that either add more mobs or increase their difficulty?
At any rate, I'm looking forward to seeing this journal progress.
Yay a modded survival journal! Looking forward to this.

Perhaps a little more description on the mod specific things in your pics for us mod challenged people viewing? For example you talk about a mine and the screen shot shows a glowing blue brick portal thing...

Oh sorry OK, so that was a portal to a mining dimension, That is added through Aroma1997Core and Aroma1997s Dimensional World (Mining World Mod). I will try and add more if what i am doing includes a mod.
I'm super super happy to have a modded survival journal to read but that's one of the things about these survival experience pieces is the journal aspect. If you look at this journal it may help give you some ideas about writing some more. But yea part of the thing about these is reading about your experience instead of just reading captions to pictures. But please keep em coming

When I logged back in this morning, I was Positive i was ready to go to the nether, I had my full set of iron Armor, my iron sword and my stone tinkers tool. And i must say when i stepped though the portal it was a Amazing sight.
Little did i know that natura Added Some kinda hell dog that will light you on fire and chase me around ( To busy running to take a screenshot of That) Even after that experience The wonder of the nether still drew me in and if it wasn't for the ghast Shooting at me I would have stayed, but with 3 hearts and a almost broken set of armor i made my retreat to the over-world.
Apon my return it hit me I needed to pick a mod to start on and get to it so naturally i chose the mod i know the least about ChromatiCraft. After very little online research I went exploring for one of these:
Now some of you might be wondering why would i want a giant rainbow Tree well to answer that Question I need to ask one myself did you play FTB monster. These rainbow trees are actually called Dyetrees and this is what there leaves drop:
Thats right Every type of dye you could ever want, including Lapis and bone-meal. Other then the normal uses for all this dye i have big plans in mind for it but Since that includes getting into Another mod i put that on hold and am now exploring The caves for crystals that this mod generates to further my adventure into Chromaticraft.
Much better descriptions this time and I had forgotten all about those tress. I'm going to have to look into that mod as well, putting together Ninjacat Modpack v2 and that looks straight prime.

I'll have to check that pack out and yeah those trees are so much fun, The creator is putting alot of his smaller mods into the main one.
This is amazing so far. I normally lay the Direwolf20 1.7 pack on the FTB launcher, but I have never even heard of Chomaticraft! I'm excited for new updates.

Found this Village, and If any of you have played modded you know What to expect.
A tinkers Smelter just what i needed to begin My adventure into tinkers construct. But that's not all...
Within 50 blocks a house made of Iron, I know i didn't believe it Either.

Starting with a smeltery certainly makes life with Tinker's easier.
Geographicraft (formerly Climate Control) - Control climate, ocean, and land sizes; stop chunk walls; put modded biomes into Default worlds, and more!
RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.

Since My Iron Building, I have been hard at work in the mines
With all the new ores coming in I decided it was time to setup my smeltery.
If you look in the background you can see the poor piggy that was walking in my treefarm.
While all my Ores where being Smelted I Returned into the mine for some Obsidian, Once I had the 10 I needed A Portal was built.
With All I had done I decided to call it a night After all the Nether Is Tomorrow.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..

Please switch the minimap to journeymap. It is FAR better than VoxelMap.
