I only have 4 tips for you finding diamonds... sorry about that..
My tips work for me, but I don't know if it works for you xD
I did not copy this tips from anywhere, I made it,
Okay, while following my tips, i found a total number of 56 diamonds. Here it goes!
Things needed: 4-5 Iron Pickaxes, A Bucket of Water (Incase if you fall into lava), Full Stack of torches, Flint and steel (For Bombing xD) and Tnts!
We all know that Diamonds can be found on layer 16 and below.
1) You can mostly find diamonds near lava.
2) Make sure you mine a big shaft/tunnel
3) And the most greatest tip (for me) is that Diamonds can be found among other ores! So make sure you mine above, under left and right the ores
4) If this tip doesn't work, then try BLOWING UP!! the place with tnts. But make sure you place the tnt in the correct place. Trust your instinct :smile.gif: (Not so good tip :sad.gif: )
I Hope you like my tips!
If it works, you might wanna give me a green plus right in the bottom right corner :smile.gif:
Happy Mining :biggrin.gif:

The best tip for finding diamonds is, dum dum dum duuum! Branch Mining.
I've only made one serious branch mine so far, but I found... I think it was about 15 diamonds fairly quickly. I also found a ton of redstone, iron, coal, gold and lapis. What it does is that instead of making a big hole to find ore, you make tunnels quite close to eachother to eliminate almost every possibility that ore will not be visible in at least one tunnel. Works like a charm, it's structured and it looks good.
Diamonds are scattered randomly near the bottom of the world. It doesn't have any connection with other ore or lava, those just happen to form at the same depth. The only tip there is, is that you should mine around level 12 or so.
I do agree with you, but i got alot of them and most of them are found around ores.
Not every Diamond is Diamond, so try not to get excited too much. You may be mining and stumble into a pit of lava, and see an eerie blue glow, and mistake it for diamonds. You ran to it, only to find you are swmming on lava. You come back to try to reach your precious Diamonds again, only to find it was Lapis Lazuli. Remember, if you see any blue ore, inspect closely to see if it's true diamonds, or it is just Lapis Lazuli. Diamonds have a more turquoise color , while Lapis Lazuli haves a more sea-blue color .
I have been digging for days now and I haven't found a single diamond but a bounty of emeralds and plenty of gold what do I do now
I need to figure out what to do when I can't find any diamonds but I have plenty of emeralds and gold and iron but not a single diamond I've tried every method of digging

Instead of bumping a thread from 2011 you should have just started a new one.
Make sure you're mining at Y=12 (or below, but then you are below lava level) Use F3 key to turn on debug screen to see the Y value you're at.
Once at that level I recommend branch mining. I like to mine a main shaft that is 2x2, then mine a branch tunnel every 4 blocks (3 blocks between branches). I like to alternate the branches on each side so that they don't line up with each other. That way when I'm walking back I can clearly see when I'm approaching the main tunnel. I also like to place a torch in the beginning of the branch that is on the side of my exit. That way I know which way to turn to get back to my exit.
The main thing is mine at y=12, then you'll be sure to find diamonds no matter what method you use. Good Luck!

Branch mine at y=10, with poke holes at y=11. My preference for the trunk tunnel is a bit of overkill at 2x3 and typically 500-1,000 blocks long. After discussion and calculation, my buddy and I settled on the most efficient branches being 2x1, a 5 block deep 1x1 poke hole every 4th block, and space the branches 13 blocks apart. Dig each branch until lava/water/cave/monsters are just too tedious and time consuming to handle.
Quick explanation of 13 block branch spacing:
Since ore deposits are based around 2 block cubes (2x2x2), when you poke out to 5 blocks, the 6th block you cannot reach is visible. From the poke hole on the other side, the same math is in effect. Now, if I spaced any closer than 12 blocks, at the end of my poke, I'd be looking at blocks the other hole revealed. That's inefficient. Most efficient use of the pick is most reveal for fewest blocks removed. 13 block spacing is about as efficient as we've come up with.
This is the PC version mind you, which means you can essentially go in a single direction forever, and as the world generates chunks, you'll eventually fall into some. I keep the branch thing going just for travel to and from our main lair being as efficient as possible.
Don't know what to tell you. They are there if you're mining at Y=12, they just aren't real common. Some branches you might need to mine out 100 blocks (or more) before you find a vein of diamonds. Just keep mining and you'll find them.
OK, I'm new, but I'd like to point out some simple math. Mining on level 11/12 or 12/13 will produce considerably more diamonds than mining on 15/16, or on 4/5 and at least a few more than mining on 5/6 or 14/15. The reason is simple logic, if diamonds are evenly distributed at or below level 16, and diamonds veins tend to be at least 3 or 4 blocks, then by mining near the middle we are more likely to hit a vein. If for instance a vein covers levels 12, 13, and 14 we will hit that vein mining on level 12 since we see it in the ceiling. If you mine low, or high, you won't have veins above you, or below you. Do an experiment, do a branch mine on 11/12, 2 blocks by 1 block, as you extract ore leave the veins open, then branch higher, and then lower. Chances are you'll find lots of openings where you mined the 11/12 branch. by mining in the middle we hit veins that are both below us and above us. Yes, you will miss some, but not as many as you will by going higher or lower only. Now why level 11/12? It's above most of the lava.
Only reason I am y=10 (standing on y=9) is because I see y=12 as my ceiling. I do encounter lava though, and it is typically at y=9 or below. I always carry 2 water buckets to handle it, and only get detoured or inconvenienced now and again.
And so far, in all my y=10 branches, I am about even on going up a block or two with going down a block or two. Y=10 seems to be the sweet spot. I remove 10 and 11, and I see 9 and 12. Lower than that is too much lava and is annoying, and above that, I get less stuff and open into more caves.

That's funny. I typically make the trunk tunnel at least 500 long, and then each tunnel is measured in torch stacks, not blocks. I generally make each branch a full stack of torches minimum, spaced every 4th block at the poke holes. So 256 I guess? That's the standard branch. Typically takes two such branches to run me out of torches and inventory space.

Oh, you don't mind me posting this on this thread? I'll put your name there, This is a good tip also!
I agree :smile.gif: haha but i got lucky and got 1 diamonds... -.-
One layer above lava so you're safe!

To build and explore.
But on multiplayer this helped me out
Thanks!

i got 6 in 15 min :smile.gif: last time

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
I did all of that and no luck
