and its pissing me the f@#%$ off. every is enclosed. no openings or open doors etc. its on the surface and well lit and half the time after I go to sleep or go downstairs to work when I come back up there's creepers in the main room. I tired of having to rebuild and refill chests constantly...
just a vent I guess. I don't expect any tips on fixing it. seems like a bug though I see no reason why they should be spawning inside.

Place water over your house (from top to ground)
So the creepers won't have effect!
That would only keep creepers from blowing up the outside of your house. It wouldn't matter if the water's outside and the creepers are inside, which is the problem in the OP

It's not an optical illusion, it just looks like one.
well they keep showing up in my workshop which has all cobblestone and smooth stone floors, I've got torches all over the walls so its very well lit. usually I see them come from either the hallway leading to my marina which does have double doors but they're always closed. or my train station which is completely closed from the outside and very well lit. I'm sure its just some corner thats just dark enough and I'm not noticing or something stupid like that. its annoying enough if a zombie or something hits me while I'm working but why is it always creepers...
Monsters can come in through double doors. On double doors, the "right" one is flipped around...(Or whichever you placed last) So to mobs, when it's closed, it's actuall open. I suggest you leave that one open.
Trapperize that **** up mother****er! Crush them crooked creepers!

So I was working on this really cool resource pack a while ago, but bad progress nonwithstanding, I think I found something much better... I'm probably gonna never release another custom Minecraft map.Until we meet again...
Make sure that the house is intensely lit, and the ground/walls aren't made of Sand or Mud.Also, if they keep getting in your house, then move the Bed (If it happens while you Sleep) into a small 2x2x2 area so that they cannot spawn.
It doesnt matter if the floors are made of sand or dirt, or any other block. Its also not the double doors, the double door glitch allows zombies or skeletons (not creepers/spiders) to attack when you are sleeping. Creepers cant get through closed doors. They must be getting in through a hole (window without glass, open door, etc.) or they are spawning in there. If there are any dark spots on the floor, put a torch there, it might be too far from a wall.
Creepers love me. They always sneak in my house. (One was chasing me get in my house theres a creeper there SSSSSSS) Then that night there were 3 creepers at my door and 4 outside on the corners of my house. (not too mention the 4 skeltons 3 zombies and spiders on Normal difficulty.

I was looking at all the grey avatars and i saw yours and i'm like OOOOOH
I have realized something just now. If the power of TNT is 4, a charged creeper will be 6, and regular creepers at 3. Wow. MATH SKILLS!

Just remove the floor if its grass. Replace with glass. If i can remember (Correct me if im wrong) They don't spawn on glass.
THAT's what AIH said!

Do you have any double doors?
