Why the hell is it doing this? It is light in my house, its not up against a wall, its in the middle of the room, I tried the second floor of my house, still getting woken up and shot, wtf is going on? How do I fix this?
I had the same problem with a larger build I had. I installed Zombes modpack and used the safe area locator that shows if an area is lit enough for mobs to not spawn and it helped fix my problem.

You need better lighting in your house. This was happening to me and I put 1-just 1- torch in the middle of my house and it stopped.
"Placing the door inside out in your home will mean that monsters will be able to go through it. You place the door safely by going outside of your home, and then placing the door in the doorway that you have."
Wow zelamy, that is a bit much, looks like more work then just moving. But best idea, use a xray or mod to see all the caves under your house, everyone has them, I think they can teleport from caves that are within 10 blocks.
I had this problem once, Build a signle bedroom for yourself, I had a 3long x 1wide x 3high room, with wooden door, pressureplate and bed. Only needed 1 torch and monsters were never a problem.
Alternatly try a glass or stone slab floor, as mobs cant spawn there.
(You can sleep outside at night if you place you bed over a lake, dosent need lightning up either. Even if there are spiders in the water next to you, you still sleep fine).

The best solution would be to make sure your house is closed up and well lighted. Use a door to separate your mineshafts from the rest of your house and if it persists, either don't sleep (night time is a good time to go mining and hunting mobs) or turn your difficulty to peaceful when you go to sleep.
Like everyone said if there is a cave under the floor and the ob jumps the will be 2 blocks away and thus you will wake up next to a mob. Try puting you bed on a platform at least one block high tht should solve the problem. And if u r like me and love double doors make a seperate bedroom with a single door opening. Hope this help and pz like this post so i can get rid of this stupid post limit.

i had this same problem but my solution was to add way to much lighting.
People like you with problems like this really need to put up some pictures. We also don't know how big this room is or whats in it or anything. I am however guessing your room is too big. I think if there is too much floor space it may cause problems. I don't really know for sure though. But I think if you try doing different things every one else said to do then it should work. There is really nothing that can be done that no one has said to do already.

1) Bed's up against a wall.
2) Room is dark
3) The doors are the wrong way (place them from the outside)
4) You have double-doors (opening the left-hand one when looking at them from outside will fix this)
And no, it cannot possibly be a problem with your roof.

Likewise, a "cave under your floor" is really unlikely.

turns out the glass stopped them spawning.
I think something have been changed in the 1.8 and 1.9 versions as I did not have this problem before.
