This thread is to post about your creepy minecraft experiences, if you didn't know...
Today I had just installed a new more realistic texture pack, and while going to bed I accidentally broke the bed I was sleeping on, and got 'this bed is already occupied' and woke up. Out my windows I saw it was twilight, but it stayed like that too long.. I didn't get a look at what was in the sky. While leaving my room, while walking next to the door I took damage randomly, but the health bar healed. I checked the difficulty, and it was peaceful, although the minecraft day before I saw enemies and I never play on peaceful. The door, or rather the wall by the door, kept hurting me when I touched it. I dug looking for lava or anything strange, but there was nothing. It was still twilight. All these events creeped me out, and I left the game and deleted the world.
(I had made that world that day)
Many times have I been mining in a cave and then [not really creepy as much as suddenly terrifying] a creeper would fall from an alternative rout in the cave system, RIGHT on top of me and blow me and everything around me the hell up.
I was exploring this epic cave system. I was setting up torches, and headed back to re-heal. When zombies come out from above! Then I heard lightning, it creeped me out, a lot.
So I explored what was above me, and there was a zombie dungeon. Easy stuff, except there was 3 zombies and a creeper after me, I ran. Lightning sounded again.
After that, I took a break from Minecraft, but I later conquered the dungeon and got cocoa beans, buckets, and string.
Every story has to do with caves. Haha
Mine was when I was mining gold next to a small pit of lava in a normal cave. I heard zombie and spider noises and knew the lava could kill me easily, so I knew I needed to mine and get out as fast as I could. But there was a creeper just walking along and I didnt hear him. He blew up leaving me with 3 hearts left and sent me flying into the lava almost instantly killing me LOL. When he blew up i almost crapped myself. I also had 2 and an diamond pick and sword. FAIL
I was just mining and then after a while it turned dark, i went out of my mine shaft and went to my house, opened the door and went straight to the chest without closing the door, i save all my coal and iron then... ssssss BOOM
Turning the fog to tiny and playing disc 13 on the jukebox is as creepy as it gets. Oh, and be a naturally paranoid person like me. They're always watching.
I had this one experience when i first went into the nether, first, I build a nice cosy and luxurious house, made a fireplace, a bathroom a kitchen and then my bedroom.......I placed down my bed for decoration and then i thought, hmmmm i wonder if you can sleep in the nether even though there is no day and night.
BOOOM!!:Lava: my bedroom blew up and and i was exposed in the middle of the nether_and then there were pigmen, zombiepigmen and ghasts everywhere :blink.gif: ......... lucky me..... so i dug a hole in the ground and buried myself so i could put it on creative.....and i fell into this wierd nether dungeon making the normal dungeon noise and ...... UGGGRRRHHH!:ohmy.gif:
Never sleep in the nether ever again...............................................
Quicker clicking on peaceful next time............................................
I feel like this thread will get better once there are Endermen running about.
I'll be huddled next to a field of unending torchlight.
Ha ha, maybe when the Endermen come out I will 'resurrect' this thread. But I can see mostly caves are here... I've had some weird cave experiences, but not really creepy. In a giant cavern at lava layer seeing the way out across tons of lava, and having to navigate lava caves with parts sticking out and small dark caves leaving the large lava cavern at one place and entering at another... But I find the texture pack I use makes it way creepier... Sheep staring at me.*shivers*

I think I might be a little too afraid to update, haha... :'c
I don't really have anything too creepy. The last thing that freaked me out was when I was on a multiplayer server, and went to check up on the old cave I used to live in. It was right by my newer house, placed in a hill. I patched it up fast after I looted all my goods. Needless to say, I completely forgot to add torches in the cave after leaving, and everything swarmed all around my house.
XD so I waz playin at ma cousins house at like 2 in the morning and wwe were listening to music on youtube earlier but we had stopped. Well the music suddenly came back on and we were unsure of what it was lol then we were like oh yeah but how did it just restart.....
My worst experience has to be when I attempted my first survival ever.
I had built my hut wooden hut for my first night and, seeing as I didn't have a bed, planned to stay up for the night. I didn't have a furnace so instead of using glass I created a 1x1 hole in the wall to watch for enemies.
So there I was watching for enemies when I realised: "I need a sword". So I turned around and crafted my sword. I turned back and there was this creeper standing there, minding his own business. It was INSIDE my little 4x4 hut. I was very scared indeed (My mouse headed straight for the red 'X' at the top of the page).
Of course I didn't get there in time and it blew up in my face .
I now put forward two questions:
1) How did it get in my house? (That's a very nice house you have there...).
2) Why did it wait to blow up before I looked at it? (ssss.... BOOM). Did it not notice me? Or was there some sort of game glitch?
If you could post answers and ideas I would be grateful as I am quite intrigued by these events.

The creepiest thing I've ever had happen, happens all the time.
Just spelunking or mining, you can always here mobs around you. It always freaks me out because I play with headphones on a lot. I don't like to cheat by using F3 to see the mobs. It's more fun not knowing.
When grass was introduced, I decided to create a new copy of our relatively new server world, and just copy the existing structures into it so everyone could have grass. In order to do that, I had to walk to the locations of all the structures to build the chunks, and in order to do this, I had the debug stats on so I could watch coordinates. Our server is very sprawled out, so I had to walk/swim etc for a couple of kilometers in each direction to do this. I did this in singleplayer mode for convenience.
And then just as I was getting too sleepy to stay awake much longer, I saw a nametag in the distance... Moving around. I was in singleplayer, and thought "What. the. f***. No way." so I immediately headed toward the nametag until I got close enough to read it... and of course, it was just a pig, and the debug numbers were on so it was showing the ID number above it. But man, for about 5 seconds I was completely freaked out. Really dumb in retrospect, but it was scary at the time. I am guessing I didn't see many mobs before that point because the map was brand new? I don't know.
EDIT -
I forgot about another experience where I built a new house in a new singleplayer map, and was doing all kinds of work, there was a tree nearby, and I went to go start harvesting wood from it, and a friend who was looking at my screen with me said "Wait - go back, there's something in the tree." I looked, and there was a creeper there. It had been there for who knows how long. I went to that area, I flattened the ground, built a small house, it must have taken me at least a whole minecraft day to do it... and all that time that creeper must have been sitting there in that tree. Watching me.

This thought gruntles me greatly.
Yes, I like creepers.
