The point of a pass it on is that only 1 person is working on it at one time. You pass around the save file to other people and then you see how it turns out after a while.
The thing I've always hated about these is that nobody posts pictures besides the op. It would attract more people if you did post pictures after finishing your part.
I guess I could post a cartograph of the map, so there wouldn't be need for constant pictures. Let me see if it is doable on Mac. It also needs to be able to be viewable online, so there would be no need for download.
If you want, I could make the cartograph for you. Maybe we can even have a map hooked up to the internet somehow so everyone can view it. It'll update every 10 minutes or so so we can see the progress on the map.

That would be incredibly useful. I really hope you could do that for us. Can you do it at some point please? Thanks.
I could certainly do a map render as a .jpg, but I wouldn't know how to put an interactive map online. I tried Tectonicus and used the html code and put it in a website, but it wouldn't show up. Hmmm I'll see what I can do.
Changelog:
-Found some gold, diamond, coal, and iron
-Started a small farm, currently has 8 seeds planted. I harvested several wheat already.
-Planted a rose on Panda's wolf's grave. May he rest forever in doggy heaven.
-Planted some saplings
-Went exploring
-Made a compass. I was going to make a map, but I couldn't find any reeds.
-Cut down a few trees
-Made the mineshaft a little more noticeable
Changelog
-Looked around a little.
-Went Paul Bunyan on a bunch of trees, essentially deforesting a large part of the mountain.
-Built the start of a treehouse.
-Planted some saplings.
-Had bad luck with creepers.
-Found a tiny bit of coal. :cool.gif:
By the way, if someone wants to work on the farm a little, there's a lot of wood in the chest downstairs for fencing.
Also, if you notice some odd items on the ground, I have a few mob mods on which I didn't have time to fix. In case I didn't notice it, and fix it, there may be a few apples and such. Go ahead and do whatever with them, preferably destroying them.
- Utilised coal to smelt cobblestone into smoothstone and sand into glass
- Used Iron to make buckets
- Collected lava
- Used wood to make chests
- Used all of the above to create chest storage room
- Made 2 pistons, went hunting for slimes
- Didn't find any slimes, return home to find 3 slime balls sitting in the main chest.
-
- Use the last of the redstone to create piston door to the storage room

Some people are married, and have spouses that want to play at the same time. Many of the "pass it on" worlds allow a single household to edit it at one time. I would assume that is allowed on this one, since it wasn't specified in the original post.
If he was asking to turn it into a permanent server, then your response would make sense.
The OP should probably edit the original post, and declare things like whether multiplayer is allowed on checkouts, and whether it can be played on peaceful.

Aww, that sucks! I really did love Minehatten. I'm currently using it as a base of operations on an SMP server that I play on :smile.gif:
You really shouldn't give it up, It's really good.
You may download the map and host it on an SMP server, yes. If that's what you mean. (Please elaborate a little bit more.)
