I want to light up a huge room but im not sure how. Ill be using mcedit or other things for it so go crazy. The thing is tho is that i dont want to cover the floor with torches or glowstone and the roof is way to tall to light the floor. I tried using souble stacked half blocks but that didnt work. I put a ring of glowstone around the perimiter but the room is to huge. All ideas would be appreciated even stupid ones. :biggrin.gif:
How bout Glowstone chandeliers? You can put them maybe 4 blocks up, with fence posts going up to the ceiling, IF you put them in a grid, with 4 blocks between each, it will be enough lighting to stop spawning, and prevent them from cluttering things up. Put trapdoors on them for an extra aesthetic touch, as it won't block light.
Thats what i was thinking but the room will be kinda a testing room for restone, buildings, and other things so i want alot of vertical room so that would not be very ideal.
Sounds like the shoddy workmanship of an elf, if you ask me.
Fine. An alternate method is to have a giant dragon head at one end of the room, the whole room sloped so that magma from the head flows down through channels along the entire room. Glass-less magma is more !!fun!!

The true dwarven way
No. Real dwarves light the room by having Lavafalls every 10 blocks, from ceiling to floor. No glass.

Now this is an idea I can get behind.
Yes indeed... Now to go build it on my SMP server.
