I see bug, glitch, and crash threads posted left and right. However I experience chunk corruption, save corruptions, item loss, or crashes little to never. I only experience crashes when my mods don't work due to a really slim random error, or out-of-date. Seriously, I don't even have problems without mods. Except when I place tons of TNT which usually is 1,000 or more at a time and blow it up.
Pick an option on the poll. I'd like to know if I'm lucky or not. Oh and reply letting me know usually when it happens. :wink.gif:
If a mod sees this I apologize for not posting this thread in the correct topic. You may move or delete this thread. Sorry.
Hahaha what the heck is the point of making a topic like this?! I'm sure the rule-mongers will be here within the hour to let you know just how against-the-rules you're being by making it...
But anyway to answer your question, I experience crashes only when they come from bugs inside the game engine, like before 1.6.5 when shift-clicking an item from a chest/crafting table when you had a full inventory crashed you. (Which I'm happy how quickly he fixed!) Beyond that, no, I'm greatly impressed with the smoothness of my minecraft client/experience overall, and I'm constantly playing 2-3 person multiplayer with my brothers so that's saying alot. Cheers to smooth running games!
I've never had a problem, I think MC has crashed about 3-4 times in the last 7 months or so. Oddly enough I don't recall anything before Alpha crashing at all =/
Complainers always rule the discussion, because those of us without problems are more likely to be playing.
Not dismissing the complaints, but it's kind of a fact of life. 100% of people with problems will complain, but only 1% of people having a good time will say anything (that's kind of a business rule).
Notch on his twitter: "bugs that feel wrong get fixed"
Do not get attached to your saves, seriously, stuff like this has happened before, if there's something you love and really want to build...Wait for release.
Other than the occasional crash (which doesn't seem to happen often in 1.6 compared to 1.5 for me), I haven't had any problems. :smile.gif: Heck, with 1.6.5 right now, everything in the game seems to be running smoother than it ever has, SMP included. I'm quite pleased.
Nether loads quickly too. Quicker than it ever has for me.
Minecraft works great. Never had a single crash, been playing since beta 1.0. And only SSP mode atm.
Only suffer a few minor bugs since update...
1/2 heart hit when loading a save.
Powered minecart not working correctly. e.g. they don't push other carts.
Taking damage when going around a corner in minecart.
Nothing game breaking. Totally happy with minecraft. Well worth the $15 I paid.
