I built a nice track down into my mine using normal rails and powered rails. After some digging at the top, some water fell through and flowed down the track, destroying most of the rails. By destroy, I meant the rails themselves actually disappeared, ie. couldn't be recovered.
It seems a bit weird that water would displace rails, let alone destroy them completely.

Thoughts? Is this a bug?
Thanks!

Water is supposed to displace rails, but not destroy them. I think that is a bug, keep your stuff away from water, it's the new lava!
I've had water destroy my rails too when I accidentally dumped water down the side of my mountain to kill a fire. I had laid about 50 rails, and once the water was gone, I only had about 20 or so left. That was awhile ago, I just assumed it was supposed to do that, although I've never felt like it should do that.
Although I get the 'air pocket' argument... I still think it's stupid for water to displace rails. Maybe water and rails should be allowed to co-exist :wink.gif:
