Hey folks , came back to play after a very long hiatus . So a lot of things have changed .
Enchanting your pick , what ? Stuff like that , no idea .
But for now my question is , how do I get lots of TNT fast .
I usually play on survival / peaceful , change that if and when I need mobs , I like the building part but creative is over the top for me
I have had an idea on a build but that would mean a lot of ground to shift , I need a big hole . So are there ways to make TNT or making some sort of mob farming machine . I checked out youtube and some stuff is a few years old and I would think things have changed by now .
Find a desert, build a spawning platform very high. Tons of mobs + sand = TNT. Light levels below 8 will spawn monsters. And mobs spawn in a 128 blocks sphere around your player. If you have the less spawnpoints possible, you have a lot of efficiency, Just remember that in the first 16 blocks around the player mobs do not spawn
I built a simple mob farm to get creeper gunpowder, i used an old design but it works for me , and just dug sand with an enchanted shovel. The mob farm does require a lit perimeter,(caves and such), to increase spawn rates however .
What I do, is load the game on hard, then do /difficulty peaceful, (Hard has better ores, like more diamonds and iron) Make a diamond sword, then enchant with looting 3. (Maybe sharp V, IDK) Then load on normal, then make a tower and KILL KILL KILL!

Where did you ever hear that from? If anything, Hard should make iron and diamonds LESS common since those basically make the game a cakewalk on any difficulty once you get them.
That said, it would only make sense for this to happen on Hardcore since it is a special "world type" (it is set differently from difficulty, not actually a "world type" but its own variable and not alterable like difficulty is); you can use the customized settings though to make ores more common if you want (not that you have to make diamond more common; I don't even use Fortune anymore and get stacks of it, despite using it up for armor and tools; I can also mine enough iron for a full beacon in a couple play sessions, all just by exploring caves; Mojang never said why they nerfed caves in 1.7 but the ease of getting vast amounts of ore was likely a big reason (with complaints), not that you need much for just armor and tools and branch-mining is 100% safe from mobs if you avoid caves).

Any help would be greatly appreciated , thanks .

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
