Minecraft, the game where you craft mines!
My review is gonna be based on the pro's and con's of playing minecraft, such as this is a pro but, this is a con.
Pro: Minecraft is a great sandbox game.
Sandbox games in general are a good genre that I enjoy but, after playing Minecraft I thought it redifined the genre. Minecraft is a wonderful sandbox game that you can get sucked in very easily and end up spending alot of time on it. Minecraft also proivides challenges and monsters.
Con: Addictve
Minecraft is a good game but, it can get very addictive and I found myself playing throught the night sometimes. This isn't a bad quality persay but, it can be bad if you end playing to long.
Pro: Challenge/Enemy's
Minecraft is a great game that provides challanges and monsters when you least expect it to. The monsters aren't persay a great challenge becasue of the fact that combat in this game is not something that is challenging, I could swing my wooden sword at zombies and they would be dead if I clicked hard and fast enough, and finding the ending tools are a challenge at first.
Con: Community
Like alot of the games out there today that have inflated like a balloon, minecraft community is not all that good. The reason's that the community are some quality's that are hard to look past.
Reason 1. Reply's
Minecraft community reply's are littered with meme post, and post like "Wow just let this (every age below the age of fourteen) be alone" This makes me cringe hard because of the fact that most people that are between the age of 10 and thirteen are auctully quite smart people have to relize something. What you learned in fourth grade they are learning in second. So auctully people in a sense last years Ninth grade curriculem is now todayds Eighth Grade cirriculem and they are alot smarter than you think :wink.gif:
Pro: Private Community's
While the community at a large is bad small community's are great, because of the fact that they are much more moderated and the people in a 30 man/woman community are nice people who I enjoy playing minecraft with
CON; Lack of content
Content in minecraft is lacking unless you can get really creative or try to find a multiplayer server the fact that you need content is bad in my opinon. Yes it is in beta of course it is but, at the beta stage of sandbox games you are supposed to be able to play the game for many more hours than it takes to start getting bored of minecraft.

Minecraft is a great game that won my heart but the community corrupted that heart.
What was your schools spelling "curriculem" like? I suppose you ARE indeed one of the "majority" 10-13 year olds that the community supposedly deters from progression of life and leisure due to our meme's and flames and I'm sure, as you said, you are light years ahead of the rest of us in your divine knowledge. So let me speak for everyone, by saying we are so sorry to have influenced your opinion of Minecraft in a negative manner, and as a result of your demands, we shall rebuke the days of old and begin anew.
Long cat is loooooooooooonnggggg.
Edit note: Upon further review of your post and your profile, I have indeed confirmed my suspicions on your age. I have also concluded, that you have just recently been introduced to the word "Persay" on the television or mayhap(!) in a news or magazine article someplace.
I would suggest when you press enter, press it twice, and actually space paragraphs so they're halfway readable.
All i see is a big wavy text wall that I have absolutely no urge to read because my eyes are about as likely to get lost as they are to perceive what you are trying to write.
Beta phase (Wiki):" It generally begins when the software is feature complete. The focus of beta testing is reducing impacts to users, often incorporating usability testing."
Perpetual beta (Wiki): "is the keeping of software or a system at the beta development stage for an extended or indefinite period of time. It is often used by developers when they continue to release new features that might not be fully tested."
Minecraft is in Perpetual beta. It does need more content and it is getting it.
The community is an independent forum. You can always go set up a new forum with an age limit of over 21 if you want. Would be nice.
Addictiveness is more about the players' likelihood to be addicted. Anything good could be seen as addictive.

This bit you are reading now is my signature. It's a block of text that's added to everything I post. So long as it fits within the 255 character limit of course. I think that means spaces too but I'm not really sure.
You should never have a community as part of a review to a game, as the community has nothing to do with how good or bad the game is.
Also, to build on this point, don't criticise the community which has nothing to do with how good or bad the game is.
It's irrelevant to the review and petty.
I don't feel the need to go into your reviews devolution into a hopeless defence of young students.
One last thing, Tiggy is right about Minecraft being in Perpetual Beta and about the community [being independent].
What was your schools spelling "curriculem" like? Thanks for demonstrating your absolute failure to even skim the first post. I myself found it rather amusing that the OP says "auctully people in a sense last yearsNinth grade curriculem is now todaydsEighth Grade cirriculem and they are alot smarter than you think" in addition to being littered with misplaced punctuation, misspelled words, contractions in place of pluralization, and the popular (but erroneous) phonetic spelling of "per se". In fact, I'm surprised he didn't include one of the many phonetic attempts at typing "voila".
On topic: OP, if you want people to actually take your review seriously you may want to ensure that everything is at least spelled and punctuated properly. Minor deviations from strict, perfect grammar are acceptable on an online forum, but you're setting yourself up to be mocked if you don't have anyone proofread. As it stands, your review honestly looks like it was written by a nine-year old with a loose understanding of what some words mean and no idea how to actually spell them.

Anything built within Minecraft, using only Minecraft, without using bugs, is legit.
If you don't want to build mob traps, that's fine. Just don't tell us it's cheating.

Not that I feel a substantial need to prove anything to you, but he stated in his OP that his curriculum was farther along than ours was when we were his age, I was pointing out his misspelling of curriculum (Hence the quotation marks) as a counter to his own statement.
If you want to review games there are some things you want to do.
First- get a spell checker, don't ignore it when you see the red squiggle under words. Also check grammar.
Second- learn the popular style of internet paragraph. Usually 2-3 sentences max per paragraph. In a more formal style you can do a paragraph of about 5 sentences though larger blocks of text become more difficult to read. Using a slightly larger font can help.
Third- usually community isn't talked about in reviews. The minecraft community is actually quite active though. You forgot to mention about the modding community, the tones of threads on building projects, redstone circuitry threads, etc. However usually the community is mentioned only in passing. You can however talk about community inside the game, via multiplayer. What was the multiplayer experience like? The "meme" posts are common in any internet forum visited by younger people and aren't worth mentioning.
Fourth- After writing your review read it. Read it again and then rewrite it. Try and make it flow. I guarantee you anyone that writes small articles like that likely rereads and proof reads any of their work many times.
Fifth- understand the niche of the game. Minecraft is a sandbox building game. It is not a sandbox game. GTA games are also sandbox, but they are a very different sandbox game. Mentioning this about minecraft you could say it is a sandbox building game. Setting goals for yourself is a key aspect of the game. Those that look for a more structured story game may not like the complete openness and freedom the game offers.
