Recently I started a new world, and I pretty much got my basic necessities covered for - I've got a tree, cow, wheat and sugarcane farm. I've went cave exploring for a bit and got some diamonds. Now I'm pretty much waiting to get more leather for bookshelves so I can do level 30 enchantments. But now I'm at a loss. I have no idea what I should do next. Do I go caving? Do I start building automatic farms? I don't really want to build my house just yet until I get richer. So if you would, please suggest me some things you do after settling down!
You don't settle down discover more and then if your lucky u might have missed something in the cave or if ya wanna have fun make a wheat farm with item frames with a picture of wheat with blocks behind it don't forget
Well, I usually like to have a big mine deep underground. I usually start on it once my house it mostly finished.
Having lots of redstone (which you will have if you dig a big strip mine at diamond level) can be helpful if you do lots of things with redstone (for obvious reasons, I suppose).
Other than that, I get started on a big build such as an iron farm or a mob grinder.

The source of my intention isn't really crime prevention; my intention is prevention of the lie! Yeah, welcome to the Scatman's world!
Start a nether ceiling rail system to seek out other areas of the new world faster. Place a portal every 500 blocks and you can start ending up with a web of nether portals all over your world with rail carts connecting them in the nether.

Get some obsidian, go to the nether, get some blazerods. Then kill some endermen for their eyes. Then find a stronghold. Plenty of books there. Now enchant some armor and a bow and go to the End. Then kill the end dragon. I always build my house near the spawn point so it's easy to find with a compass and so that after I kill the end dragon I come right home.
I personally went and built. I didn't even care about the ender dragon for a whole month. All I did was build a fully functional modern city. Then I added a sewer system, then a secret government base. Then my computer got corrupted 😞.
I usually settle down in a hut, build a barn and farm, and start mining down. In the meantime I slowly build my main house and get it furnished. By the time I move in there I've got diamond armor and weapons. I find a spawner and build an XP grinder so I enchant efficiently.
Now it's time to head to the nether. I need that for potions. Not necessary, but I like it. Once I get a stable source of blaze rods, I start thinking about the end game. I find a fortress, collect endermen, and open the portal. Then I go in and kill the dragon, place the dragon egg in a prominent trophy spot in the mouse.
I always imagine I'll do more than this, like build a second house or an elaborate redstone mechanism, or rails to the next continent, or beacon, or something. But somehow killing the dragon feels like the end of the game, so I start over in a new world.
