1.4 bug report & list of bugs
1.4 is out! Well, sure there are some new bugs.

1.4 bugs
Confirmed bugs:
- You can place sugar canes underwater.
- You can place ladders anywhere underwater, even if there are no walls.
- Beds do not always act as the spawn point
- Beds do not act as the spawn point in SMP
- Wolves cannot travel through doors. A small hole can be punched out near the door as they are 1x1, thus creating a "doggy-door" until their pathfinding is updated to recognize open doors as a path they can walk through.
- You can place a cactus anywhere underwater, even on dirt.
- You can create a farm patch using a hoe underwater.
- Tamed wolves whimper in SMP regardless of health.
Unconfirmed bugs:
Patched bugs from 1.3
- Zombies and Spiders now hurt you in all instances (previously could only hurt you if they were 1 block above your location)
- Client-sided slime spawn on SMP have been fixed
As far as I can tell, all this update did is take away my fly mod, crash my server, oh and stop water ladders.
About the water ladders, they say this is a "bugfix" I think this is a integral part of minecraft, and I hope they bring them back.
The first two wolves that I tamed tried running repeatedly into a wall of a house. Then they drowned themselves under the house because there was a little hole under there and my house is next to the lake.

The game crashes upon opening a chest (before it gets to the chest inventory menu). Might only occur with chests with certain items in it (stairs or redstone torches for example).

But why wouldn't they stop mindlessly running into a wall?? They didn't follow me around at all.

Since other threads are getting locked, just wanted to confirm it here in the 'legit' topic. Update my client and server, logged in, slept in my bed, drown myself - respawned in original spawn point.
So - it appears the new bed spawn points are not working.
I didn't see this posted in the 1.3 thread or anywhere here. I've been having this problem ever since I started my server a few weeks ago. Whenever my stone pick is used up, whatever I was mining doesn't drop a pickup. Stone, coal, iron... I don't know if it's just stone picks or if anyone else has noticed this. I would so rage if I lost a diamond to this bug.
1. Bed doesnt set spawnpoint..I even tried it on a new generate world...
2. Don't remember it to be that bad...but if you are destroying your minecart whilst there ist air under the block of the rails u will fall through it...and it hurts...this never happened to me before....but this could always have been there don't know....but it is a glitch anyway and if it was there bedfore it still isn't fixed....

Weird, my cactus farm seems to be working fine.
Also I'm not sure if this was an existing bug, but ghasts and fireballs are mostly invisible when the server is set to Hellworld.
