I wonder if the first poster who quoted my egg bit was serious? That's kind of scary, considering he is my oncologist.
Really, I don't see what the problem is, it's all just pixels. The only real nomenclature that bothers me in terms of Minecraft is the creeper = penis jokes, and that's just because it's juvenile, and derails threads quickly.
Ooh yeah. In Canada we call a slab of pork bacon. Seriously, we don't have **** for brains in Canada like you folks.
(Most people not all)
Canadian soldiers carried cured pork (bacon) as part of their rations when they burnt down the White House in 1812, a little later that evening, a tornado came and viciously attacked them while extinguishing the fires.
Both of you countries, are very pretty, and any man, woman, or child would be lucky to have you. Canada, I've noticed you getting a little pouch around the waist, but you carry it well. America, I know some people have said you've gotten too loose, but I think you're just a free spirit.
Australia, you're all descended from murderers, rapists, thieves, and you should be ashamed of yourselves, but you look nice in a tube top and nobody has to worry about buying you breakfast in the morning.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
My Grandmother passed away on Sunday, the 7th of August, 2011. I am taking an extended leave of absence in light of this. My apologies.
Well does it matter? I call it samgyupsal (A type of GOOD Korean Pork) sometimes, bacon, porkchop, pork, pig, all sorts of names. Once, even diamonds...
It does not matter what you call it, as long as you know what it is.
Texture packs taking it on themselves to reinvent and / or change what things are is meaningless. In the core game, it is not at all bacon looking. The op is right in that regard. It's a pork chop. To suggest that others need to recognize the wrong name because of a texture pack is silly. They make the mistake of trying to set the standard for what an item is, when that is Notch's job.
Not even trolling. This has been bugging me since forever. Seriously. The texture in the painterly pack is bacon. The default is not ****ing bacon. When people see the name of it in their inventory and still call it bacon is them being assholes.
No, it's a habit carried over from alpha when there was no names. This caused several different names for the Nether blocks after the halloween update. For example, before the halloween update I called netherrack bloodstone, soul sand slow sand, and glowstone lightstone. This was because there were no tooltips conviently showing the name of the item. You have no idea how many people back in Alpha thought flint was coal, and that hoes were axes. There were no ****ing names during alpha. Habits formed. Habits persist. Calm the **** down.
That image of "back bacon" looks quite a lot like the stuff in Minecraft.
Americans need to realize that just because they call one specific pork product as "bacon" it doesn't mean that's the only application of the word.
Did you notice what the main picture of that bacon page was?
Of course, but the main picture doesn't mean that's the ONLY type of bacon there is!
The main images for the wiki entry "Fish" are of a grouper and a lionfish, but you'd have to be messed up in the head to think that means those are the only type of fish.
Topic locked. I am working through this thread and warning the people that are flaming. The topic was locked because the first thread was a troll post and a very large amount of people decided to counter-troll or flame the same way.
People will call it what they want to.

Just chill man. its just a game.
This is also bacon.
The OP appears to be bacon-ignorant as he is only familiar with American style bacon. I pity the fool.
I eat bacon with chopsticks...

I've been spending WAY too much time on The Art of Trolling.

Look at this page:

Look at the item listed as "Canadian Bacon". It totally looks like the bacon in Minecraft.
I rest my point. Minecraft bacon IS bacon.
