I want to know what type of player you are. are you a builder, miner, crafter, pvp person, redstoner, or adventurer. Btw I am a builder.
(sorry for the mistake in the title. I meant player)
I just mostly build. Specifically domes. I am not good with redstone circuitry, even following a guide I get stuck. I don't PvP because I usually lose. Mining usually goes with building, and my mines tend to be a little too complex.
In caverns I'm much more likely to dig a staircase up to a ledge and widen it by digging than build a stair and add blocks to the sides.
I always dig a "house" into the side of a hill (and always start the stairway to bedrock too soon so that it's in the way when I start expanding.
Until recently I would dig tunnels around lava lakes, now I've learned to dump water on them, though, no matter how many torches I place, large expances of obsidian hurt my eyes, they just swallow up all the light.
I'm a builder. Luckily I have friends to trade for everything else I need. I can avoid mining/exploring/fighting/braving the nether, and focusing on making cool stuff.
I'd definetly have to say redstone guy. I love my machines, and often find myself spending more time in my creative world for redstone designing a new machine for my survival world, than in my actual survival world.
Decent builder as well. If i can picture something and plan it out well my builds come out nice, but when I'm not inspired and forcing myself to build I tend to struggle a bit.
Need a good universal mob farm? Check out the Double Shift Towers. Designed for 1.9 and gets 22,000 Items / Hour with a very simple redstone set up - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jL8aoJpjjgU

Just testing.
Medium-level redstoner,
Bottom-level at all else.
