I think minecraft is to un-realistic, being a survival like game.
So i made up some rules that make the gameplay a bit more complicated but real-er.
1. You cannot destroy logs with your bare hands, you need flint (from gravel somewhere)
why? because flint ,being the only accessible rock, can break wood without hurting yourself.
If you somehow get a creeper to explode stone, or collect arrows from skeleys, than you can use that instead.
2. you need to make flint + iron ore ( cant smelt iron without fire, so just iron ore)before making torches, furnace, or anything else with fire.
OR find lava, then you can make any thing burn.
why? because u cant make torches without fire. DUH!
3. you can only mine diamonds with tnt. Because its to hard to mine. (i can be wrong if tnt destroys diamond drops, if so ignore this one) once u get diamonds, you can use a diamond pick to break diamond ore.
4. You must eat every day. You can eat anything, even a bite of cake per day.
5. u cannot eat raw food. u must cook fish/bacon before eating
6. no bonemeal.
7. no seed generators. Your map must be a random map ( so you dont get that seed where u spawn in a dungeon)
8. NO PEACEFUL!
9. no infinite water springs, only natural infinite springs like lakes/oceans/etc.
10. u MAY respawn, i think the "hardcore mode" rule is stupid and its a creative game.
but if you dont find anything that dropped from your death, u must find fire to make torches, break logs with flint, etc.
TIPS!
-save a fire source and tools at ur spawn so you dont nned to do all the ******** again
-try to remember the time, you will forget to eat
-have fun
-eat bread first because the process of getting fire will take longer than a day mostly.

1. Some times some blocks take a while to light on fire. I think. Idk.
2. I hate your life too.
So for added realism, we have to play with giant exploding shrubs?

I'm told that computers use cookies to store information, mostly with an internet browser.
I usually cram a few oreos into my CD tray to keep it running smoothly.

2. you need to make flint + steel before making torches, furnace, or anything else with fire.
So you need to find a dungeon before you can make torches?
I was thinking the same thing.
To make a flint and steel, you need smelted iron bars. To smelt the iron, you need a furnace. To use the furnace, you need a flint and steel. To get a flint and steel, you need...
That rule needs changing.
Also, if I may add something, no lava buckets? It seems unrealistic that you can carry lava around in a small bucket and not burn yourself.

Err, 2 sticks rubbed together (or better yet, a fire bow) works quite well to make fire.

yeah but it thats not exciting, if u do want to play where you need a bow and sticks to make fire thats fine.
i think its easier to find iron ore and and flint tho

I was just thinking to myself how unrealistic Minecraft was for letting you mine diamonds with a pick-axe when everyone knows that real diamond miners just chuck bombs into the vein and hope that intact diamonds fly out.

You aren't breaking the diamonds, you are extracting them from the rock. <---Notice it isn't one giant diamond that you are trying to break into little pieces. You are breaking the rock around the diamonds so you can access them.

Now these points of data make a beautiful line...

And TNT is well-known for being excellent at such precision tasks as breaking the rock around the diamond ore while leaving the diamonds themselves unharmed, since unlike a pick-axe you can aim it at specific materials instead of just blowing up a wide area of effect. That's why real diamond mines run exclusively on bombs. And, of course, diamond is completely immune to being blown up; Moh's scale of hardness is designed precisely to measure resistance to destruction by TNT detonation.
Shame none of that is actually even remotely true.
You can too mine diamonds. People in RL mine AROUND the diamond to get it. Then they smelt it and melt the excess rock away and...
PURE DIAMOND GET!
Why no peaceful? I thought this was suppose to be realistic, there aren't green exploding plants and spider-riding skeletons that try to eat you in RL. Nor are there big white ghosts with tentacles that can live in lava.
I already play with a lot of this stuff, although some of it falls out of use some times due to convenience (meat is really annoying to cook, crops take too long to grow, I just broke my axe and the last log is floating in mid air, etc.)
My advice for diamonds is to mine them with an iron pick and never use them, get rid of lava with gravel/sand or make a single pick if you absolutely need obsidian.

Well, after enjoying Minecraft for a long time I finally broke down and contributed back: exactly one adventure map. TRY IT NOW! YAY! Fall of Kingdoms

ill change the rules a bit.

Make your mind up OP.
Minecraft isnt realistic, and tbh, who cares?
But, its a nice idea for people who fancy a challenge.

I personally have a problem with this rule.
Some people eat raw meats without a problem.
For example, sashimi.
If you're too lazy to look it up, sashimi is raw fish.
Also, ever wonder how humans ate meat before they learned to cook it with a fire?
THEY ATE IT RAW.

Where is this realistic? In my opinion this one rule ruins the challenge.
