I spawn in a rather harsh landscape, there are flowers, trees and some animals.
I immediately set out to grab supplies so I can make my tools and other things. Whilst looking around I found a nice cave that should make for a nice home.
After that I continued to search for supplies. I wandered across a cave and spotted one of these bastards
I decided to avoid that cave for the time being. As I had no weapons to battle mobs and did not look forward to dieing. After that I found some trees and starting punching them down. After I got a satisfactory amount I immediately converted all the logs I had gathered into Planks and then made a workbench. I then made a Pick Axe on the Workbench and started mining some nearby coal and whilst I was at it I grabbed some stone too. After wards, I crafted some torches and stone tools and decided to explore a little bit more. After a little bit I discovered this peculiar land formation.
Near the bottom there were also things that I would rather not go near
As it was getting dark, I decided I should head back to that cave I had spotted earlier and make it my first home. One I arrived a quickly set to mining the walls and making the place a bit more.. nicer. I then made a door to cover the entrance and started mining some more. Once the room was satisfactory I sat down near a wall and waited for dawn.
My prediction is that a over-zealous mod will lock this thread for the pics, but hopefully i'm wrong, and it seems like you have quite the hostile mob infestation under that overhang.
For your house, don't make something mob proof. It's normal to try and do that on hard difficulty, but that's boring. Make a huge glass dome or something cool. Also try installing a texture pack, it'll make your "story" seem more realistic. I use the Meine-Kraft one I think, it's pretty cool - here's my house if you want an idea of what the textures look like:
Nice day 1 anyways, try and be origonal in your story it will keep people coming back for more.
That's the Painterly Pack, I'm pretty sure.
I like this, kind of like what PC gamer did with the minecraft experiment. Please, continue, I think this could be.... intresting....

I've installed a couple of Texture Packs before, I mostly use the Painterly Pack. But I tend to return to the Default Textures.

Haha, hopefully this "over-zealous" mod wont do this. And yes, yes it is quiet an infestation.
I think this is a awesome idea. I have read another of these and I really do enjoy them. Make more and i'll read it. And for textures i would recommend Jolicraft, but as you might know it changes the look of minecraft drastically, which some peoples don't like. but anyway! Make more, because it is an awesome start.

Thanks for your feedback!
I have looked at Joliecraft before, and can say it is a good texture, but It isn't my style. I like a Darker Kind of Minecraft (No Emo)
In other news, I plan on making another one sometime today or tomorrow. I'm not supposed to be on video games because my dad is ape-shiz at me for not doing school-work :tongue.gif:.
Whilst waiting for dawn I was greeted by a not-so-nice sight. (Off in the distance you can see 3 trolls and a Fire Wraith)
But I wasn't in a whole lot of trouble since the only monsters around where way to far away to see me.
And then, I was greeted by the sun!
As I arose from my cave and felt the sunlight's kiss and then I was immediately interrupted by the sound of foot steps behind me. Being me, I decided to turn around and see what it was. And was greeted by something I really, really didn't want to see.
I managed to back away before the ******* exploded and broke his skull with my sword. Immediately after I experienced a black screen.
After fixing this I decided to set out in search for Leather and Coal. I wandered for a while and eventually found a nice amount of Cows. I then killed those cows... Yeah. After wards I set out again in search of Coal, I found some quiet fast, but then glanced up in the sky and saw that the sun was going down, faster than I would like. I then ran around looking for a place to stay, And I have to say. I was impressed with what I found.
After admiring the valley I had spotted for a bit I decided it was time to build a shelter. To take the above picture I had to jump on top of a floating block next to a mountain.. I decided to utilize this and built my shelter around it.
It wasn't the best shelter, but I decided that it would have to do. I then sat down in my little shelter and waited for dawn.

Do you like this?
What Mods should I install?
What should End-Game be?
Where should I build?
Also, I just reinstalled Mo' Creatures. And I'm playing on Hard, that's why I have "Life on Hard".
Edit:
Just saw another post that has almost the same name as mine, and is almost the same thing :tongue.gif:.
Name change anyone?

Thanks, I'll take a look at them both.

Should I utilize this valley and make a home out of it?
I thought I should make a nice cottage with a path to a lake.. I'm not much of a Castle person.
