So I was working on a sqaure hole with water in it and water flowing down the sides with in minecraft for about a month. 31 days it took to finish without an editor or anything. I got help from 4 friends online as well and Im wondering if maybe one of them used an editor as any part or if it's just too much to render?
The reason is, I died due to massive lag when I tried to look over the edge of my floating castle I made in the sky and fell near the water. Respawned at my spawn point and it was STILL laggy. I am not able to move without it taking about 5 seconds for it to actually move.
Im wondering if one of the guys used a hacktool or something because one, the hole is filled with water, I didnt thnk the 4 waterfalls would fill that much, and it's deeper than I originally set. About twice as deep. The data got corrupted or if it's just so large my computer( custom built 4 gigs of ram, no video card and dual core 4600+) I have never had any problems with lag on minecraft aside the odd lag here and there. But never anything close to this at all.
I can even get to the water pit as I"ll call it because while walking my game basically just stops, the character freezes but twitches left and right.
I honestly don't care if the game data is frigged. I can always re make my stuff on a new save. I enjoy playing the game and making stuff that's big without editors and it keeps me occupied.
if anyone got any info it would help. Should I download an editor program and get rid of the hole, or is the data itself fked?
When you walk out of my house which is my respawn point(built around myself with dirt then made my house there so whenever i died i would come back in my house.) go left and you'll find it.
I think my friend used an editor since I had a friend try the save file on his computer and he uses mcedit and he said my castle in the sky is like not finished. It used to be and now it's a lot bigger and my walkway to it is broke in one part.
Okay, my friend couldnt get it to run and he has an 8 gig ram pc and i forget the video card. But yeah, i say bugged. Oh well. No more sharing my map with people who I don't know super well!
